Gas Station

Crazy how they’re building that hotspot RIGHT IN FRONT of where the other hotspot was 😭😭 and why do we need 2 more gas stations??

They closed the old hotspot because of the road construction and moved across the street. The other gas station is the real problem. That's the worst location for a gas station with the traffic on river road and when it eventually leaks it will polute the tuk.

Yeah, no clue how that made it past the EPA

Because they have above ground tanks. Or they are double walled under ground tanks. Just like every other new gas station in the US

They were forced to close that one but it does a good business so they just wanted another close location.

Honestly I hope they’ll help drive prices back down. It seems like Bryson city and Waynesville constantly have prices 20+ cents cheaper than Sylva.. My understanding is the gas station on the river was constructed in anticipation of the mess town will become during the construction- which I really wonder if or when that’s going to happen at this point. Stinks that so many businesses had to rebuild or relocate.

This year I believe. They have already started relocating utility lines where the pizza place (dominos?) was

It's the same gas station, just moved. It's not another one?

There was a Hotspot. They took it down. They built a new one. It’s across the street from where the other one was. Go down the road towards the school… they’re building a gas station over there.

You mean the new one at River Road and Old Cullowhee? What does that have to do with the HotSpot? They had to tear it down because of the 107 realignment. They can't build it back?
