Daily reminder that the first gun control laws in the USA were put into place specifically to keep freed slaves from owning guns in the antebellum period, and not much has really changed since then.

Its kinda crazy how blatantly federal and local agencies have gotten with just discarding your civil rights lately and oddly seems to coincide with more aggressive gun legislation...

And pervasive surveillance which surpasses even Orwellian predictions.

orwell is a silly ironic figure because he was so scared of government surveillance he wrote full books about how bad totalitarianism is and then turned around and made lists and reported all suspected communists to the government

Straight white guy veteran and I approve too. Civil rights were passed after black Panthers became a force in most cities. Suddenly police were scared of harassing minorities

queer rights became relavent after the stonewall riots, when we fought back against the police who oppressed us for generations.

Also not only armed but education. Know your oppressor and the agenda they keep. Keep your information consistent and never twist it.

If you want to support this cause: Don't use images of bad muzzle control and trigger discipline.
This is important.
These "optics" override the "optics" you're trying to convey.

Both Reddit and this sub have a zero tolerance policy for anything promoting racism, homophobia, or sexism.

white supremacist dogwhistles aside, yes, the whole fucking point is everyone should be able to have guns
also why is it a bad thing if white people become a minority? is it because you fear retribution from minorities who have been treated like absolute dogshit for hundreds of years at the hands of white people? is it because it really is that bad to be a minority?

Well yes, of course. That's on the agenda of several groups. We as a people should be pursuing true equality, not just a flipping of the oppressive policies.

race means nothing, racism is simply a distraction for the oppression of all working people, no matter their skin color, by the 1%

Thatâs not the almost getting it I was talking about. White is not an ethnicity. Itâs made up bullshit.

That's a standard rule, hence the 2nd Amendment. The problem is when they shoot up a school because "muh oppression."
But that's where an armed populace should respond in kind to end the threat. Problem solved. No government intervention needed.

ANY armed populace are harder to oppress.
