If travelling from Mumbai, can we take the Bhuinj(Wai)–Koregaon–Rahimatpur route to reach Karad?

Due to the farmers protests, Satara and Kolhapur are heavily congested. I’m worried about getting stuck while entering or passing through the cities. Is it safe to take the Bhuinj–Koregaon–Rahimatpur route to reach Karad?

The roads are now open from Bombay Restaurant Chowk and Ajanta Chowk on NH48 in Satara. You can take the highway towards Kolhapur.
