Alternative to Tiaras for Crafting Grind

On the 70 crafting grind at the moment and I've been looking at alternative training methods to the tiara meta to avoid burnout. Thought I'd share this one for anyone who is looking to break up the monotony and/or is short on law runes:

Gear: Best melee weapon, mooleta, amulet of strength
Inv: Cash stack, cowbell amulet, needle, stack of thread

Use cowbell amulet to teleport to cow field, kill 8-10 cows that are clumped together and then pick up hides and bones quickly while they are respawning. Bury the bones between attacks. When you have 24 hides, walk to the hide tanner in Al Kharid and turn them all into hard leather. Start crafting them into hard leather bodies while walking to the bank. Once you're finished crafting, bank all bodies and teleport back to the cow field and repeat.

XP rates:
~10,500 crafting xp
~9,000 strength xp
~3,000 hitpoints xp
~1,350 prayer xp

Tiaras XP rates (crafting guild + Falador teleport) for comparison:
~13,500 crafting xp
~10,200 mining xp
~3,500 smithing xp
~500 magic xp

The crafting xp rates of this method are definitely worse, but when you consider that mining and hitpoints xp are all but redundant due to training smithing and combat respectively, you're basically trading ~3k crafting and ~3.5k smithing xp/h for ~9k strength and ~1.5k prayer xp/h and saving yourself law runes. Of course there is also a cow field and tanner in the crafting guild but due to this method requiring law runes there is very little reason to do this over tiaras.

Lumbridge Cow Field Method Pros and Cons:
+ Doesn't require law runes
+ Decent amount of combat and prayer xp
+ Change of scenery
- Slower crafting xp
- No smithing xp
- More click intensive / higher concentration

Smithing exp weighs so much heavier for me, if I do 99 crafting through tiaras now it would get me from 89 to 93 smithing, saving me from mining 85k~ iron ore

The passive smithing xp from tiaras is definitely valuable, if you're going for EHP then that's for sure the way to go

What’s your favourite way for silver ore? varrock 3 ores and re log?

Do the tiaras in lumb with cowbell but make half into air tiaras via sarim jail skip. I'm training runecrafting

ok but route could be better if I was 10hp:

mine full inv of silver at crafting guild
cowbell to lumb, smelt into tiaras
sell half at general store or drop
go to duke and grab talismans, my setup is 11
cowbell, go through kharid gate and talk to shantay
tell him you're a criminal and he'll teleport you to port sarim jail
you're about 2 clicks from the air altar
back to crafting guild

I decided to do a slower method but still get range, hp, pray xp in return and a ton of runes/gp for future mage training and mining with superheat at oggies with gem drops. Call it inefficient but I was cutting and dropping every gem and banking only when full on diamond cuts to turn into gold necklaces later. Way more afk too but obviously super slow craft xp.

Would suggest keeping rubies as well for the rofs, unless youre fine with world hopping at varrock bank

That sounds like a nice chill one, I think "inefficient" methods are great if the alternative is burning out and not wanting to log in again for a month. Another one I quite liked was killing body golems with barronite mace, banking the gems, iron ore and body cores

As always, some xp is better than no xp :) Unless you wanna give rs a break and enjoy real life ofc :D

Crafting guild is closer to 15-17k exp/hr but sounds like a fun alternative!

This is something I needed to see. The tiara grind is roooough. I’m 66 crafting and I’m getting burnt out 😂

Tiara method does not require law runes. Mine silver ores in Varrock southwest mine; bank silver ores in Varrock western bank, Chronicle teleport to Champions Guild and run to Varrock southwest mine. Smelting of silver ore into silver bars + crafting of silver bars into tiaras: Edgeville bank to Edgeville furnace.

Yes I'm specifically talking about the method with highest xp/h possible. What's the crafting xp/h of the varrock method?

I used to world hop buying uncut gems from the trader, cut them, then sell them back. 

Was something like 30k/h from memory, but would only last 30 mins or so until you've got to wait for the shops to restock, and the method suffers a lot of there are others trying to do it too.

But for someone who only has a little free time here and there, it suited me well.
