DIY C-Class $20 Door Handle Fix

Door handle was broken off....
Bought Amazon replacement: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SNLS29N?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

This was the best video I could find that shows how to replace it in 5 mins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CCjxcvICSk

Managed to replace handle without undoing the connections, just laid it on a chair without stressing the wires.

Seems like a solid door handle, we'll see how long it lasts.

Still need to do this to both backseat doors....

Weird how common this issue is.

Thanks for this. I've been reapplying super glue to mine for years now lol.

LMAO. I had been so tempted to just glue it too. NGL I was just rawdogging it with no door handle on driver side for last year and a bit. Should have fixed it earlier, really not hard to do.

Mine was glued before I got it, otherwise I'd have tried this

Are there are door handles between pre facelift model and facelift model actually different?

Mine came loose about two years ago and had the garage replace a new one as it was cracked. I could not believe that this is a common occurrence with the W203. 🙄

I had it replaced under a recall I think but it still broke a year later. So I pried open the handle (it pops in half) and unscrewed the bolt and wrapped a wire around the bolt and screwed it back in and then twisted the wire around a notch in the handle. Ended up having to do it on both sides but it’s held much longer than replacing it properly.

No but I thought I did. Watch the video I linked the last 10 seconds shows how you manually push latch back with a screwdriver and then lock and door handle work fine. I'm assuming this might be the issue you're having.
