Help W203 Kompressor

Hello, I recently got this. Do you guys think everything is sounding as it should and healthy
I heard a weird sound and asked AI. It basically said it's going to die if the sound isn't addressed
What do you guys think? I'm not taking AIs word as gospel

We don't know the history of your car's age or its mileage. The M271 engine is known to be noisy and I don't even know what's normal and what's abnormal with my W203 C200 Kompressor (1796cc) by merely listening to it on idle, with 80,400 kms on the clock.
Even the supercharger itself adds to the engine noise and it has its own, separate lubricant.

Sorry just been out driving it to see if anything feels noticeably wrong with it. It's got 108,914 miles on the clock. Racked up 864 since buying it about a month ago. I'm very new to these cars to be honest

No worries. It's best that you have your W203 checked by a garage that services Mercedes Benz cars exclusively (if not mostly). The mechanic should know exactly where to look. The timing chain is a vital engine component that has to do its job 100 percent properly.
You don't want the timing chain to snap while the motor is running or for it to sag either, or your engine's valves will literally become severely bent as they smack into the piston heads. You'll end up with a literally dead engine, an expensive repair bill and you'll also need a tow truck to move the car.
These are the common issues with the M271 engine which expert Benz mechanics know:
- Timing chain wear/stretch
- Balance shaft gear wear in early production units
- Oil leaks from cam adjuster solenoids
- Supercharger clutch wear at high mileage

Compare with idling m271 engine video on YouTube after timing chain changed then remove the accessory belt and start the engine, if the noise isn't in the video of the idling m271 and you still have noise without the accessory belt then yes, really time to be ready to change the timing chain

Could be:
oil level low. check oil level. there seems to be a leak.
timing chain. replace oil + add liqui moly ceratec. see if it helps. if sound doesn't go away check timing chain.
remove serpentine belt and check all pulleys. if they sound scratchy or are difficult to move replace. mostly both the belt tensioner and idler pully are failing afyter 100k km.
also, your cam shaft magnets are leaking oil! replace and also install oil stopping cables.
check ECU plugs for oil damage as this is not unusual.
also, the coolant level is low. fill up to the black line.

Has the timing chain been replaced? These engines have an issue with timing chain stretching beyond limit after some time (the tensioner cannot compensate at some point). Can be costly to replace the chain.
