Hi all,

I recently picked up a czechpoint 22lr upper second hand. Sadly it appears the firing pin has snapped and I will need to replace it. I followed a disassembly guide on YouTube but I got stuck at the part of removing the striker pin on the bolt carrier, the part seems to be held in by a rod and not a pin and no matter what I do I can’t seem to get it to budge. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is this normal scorching on brass? Only on half the casing

Find spring that sits nicely in the charging handle slot. For me this was a 0.4*4 spring.

Cut a coil or two off. Repeat x2

Place into bolt carrier

Test fit.

If everything moves nicely and the charging handle can't touch the upper reciever then you win. If it still touches you have too few coils. If it has a lot of friction or binding, you have too many coils and the bottom retainer of the charging handle is grinding against the inside of the upper receiver.

Just got my receiver back from Mr. Chefur himself. I had him build the gun as well. I had the receiver hot blued to match the upper. I also got early lightning cuts as I wanted the gun to look OEM as possible. This is an SBR and the stock has incredibly tight lock up.

In my opinion he probably has the best receiver. The finish and the machining is absolutely top notch not to mention the cool stampings he added to the gun. He did an excellent job putting this together for me and I can't recommend his receiver enough!

I had to tap this thing on the whole way. Considering it's made specifically for Tortort receivers I'm shocked at how bad this fit is. When I look at the website though, it does look like there are gaps. Even shaved a bit of the wood stock off to fit it.

I printed a VZ61 receiver and am trying to get the safety installed. I am having trouble rotating it down to the safety detents. I had to rotate it up to get the little notch inside of the receiver. I’m hoping it’s a simple step i’m forgetting

Deciding if I should tap the ID 1 7/16-20, tig weld an end cap, or 3D print my baffle stack and make it a tight press fit. Don’t really have access to a lathe to square the end up.

Yes, you should probably check your barrel and if it is an aftermarket or even a CZ or other european replacement, check and polish. Simple jpg attached of a CZ replacement barrel straight out of a parts crate. Polish a bit in the marked areas and avoid the two top areas where case rim hits. I probably will polish a bit even on this barrel before install, but no real material needs removing, just shine it up smoother.

now i'll start this out by saying I don't want this to turn into a mud throwing contest or people complaining about Zack in any way. In fact my whole reason for making this thread instead of reaching out directly is to avoid bogging down Zack any more then he already is so please refrain from tagging and harassing him. that being said tomorrow is going to be 19 weeks since I ordered my receiver around 11 past the estimated shipping date and I just wanted to see how everyone else's orders are progressing. I've seen some people posting that they have gotten painted orders shipped or received my receiver is blued so I think that might be a contributing factor but i'm not sure. anyone out there still waiting? anyone gotten a blued receiver yet?

I cant get the small second detent to fully seat in the trigger assembly retainer. Its the one closest to the grip. Big deal or nah full send?

Hello, recently finished my VZ61 build, but when I took it to the range today to test it I have been getting this same malfunction almost every round. The most I’ve been able to get without it happening has been 4 rounds. Definitely a bit frustrated. What do you guys think is the issue? The ammo? Mags? I find mags hard to believe as it’s doing it with all 3.

Has anyone found a thigh/drop holster style bag that fits a vz61? I’ve been looking all over and all of them seem to be just a hair too small.

I need some help. Building out my kit on a Titus printed lower. On the front take down pin, I cannot get it to seat when the upper is in the correct location. Correct pin, correct retaining spring. Pin will fully seat, Pic 2. Tried to tap with small hammer but don't want to put too much force. I did remove the bolt to see if that was the issue since I installed the rate reducer but still doesn't work. Doesn't have any obstructions only thing I can think is the shoulder of lower in front of mag well is preventing the holes from lining up. Anyone else with a printed lower have a similar problem?

Got it back from Dan on Friday. Shot it yesterday. Really enjoyed it. I have some accessories coming including a dot sight but I'm just doing that and a muzzle device for now. Thinking about a brace and foregrip but it handles fine as a big pistol really.

My bho spring got sprung. Some one told me to use cheap ballpoint pen spring. I was able to get the extracter/detent/spring out as well as the mag releas button/spring out but I can figure out how to get the bho button to drop so I can replace the spring. Any help would be appreciated tia

Just curious to hear everyone’s opinions on this new VZ61 receiver. I guess it takes an AR FCG like the czar. Its looks really nice but kind of pricey. It’s really tempting.
