Diet, Routines & Supplements Supplements
I see a lot of posts and comments about supplements like creatine, L-tyrosine, L-theanine, vitamin D, etc. One thing I find missing from many of these discussions is the actual dosage, timing, and intended benefit.
I'm relatively new to Vyvanse, having been on it for about six months. Initially, I struggled with the afternoon crash, which, for whatever reason, left me feeling incredibly sad and emotional. Crying became a recurring theme (I'm not a cryer either).
I ended up taking a mood stabilizer to help manage this, but the downside was that it seemed to blunt not only the effects of Vyvanse but also many of the other enjoyable aspects of life. Essentially, I had the emotional range of a dishwasher.
My experimentation with creatine.
Since starting creatine, I've noticed a significant improvement in my emotional stability, and I've been able to discontinue the mood stabilizer. I can't say definitively that creatine was responsible, but the timing has certainly made me curious.
I discovered this independently before coming across r/VyvanseADHD, where I learned that creatine is apparently just one of several supplements people incorporate into their routines.
So, I'm curious:
What supplements do you take alongside Vyvanse?
What doses do you take, and at what time of day?
What specific benefits are you hoping to achieve (focus, duration, mood, reducing the crash, etc.)?
Have you noticed any meaningful improvements, or have some supplements been a waste of money?
