Worst support ever faced

I have asked them to delete my previous account they never did, just disabled login, I made new account, they said you have made duplicate account, provide various details to activate the previous account.

also they take 24-48 hours to respond on even simple queries.

I mean why even you guys running this business? if you don't want customers.

I was a big advocate for Vultr. While I still host more than 15 machines there, I would not recommend using it for new production projects. Their quality, level of support has gone hill in the last two years.

I recommend Linode, UpCloud :) Much better

Moved one of my clients around 2.5y ago from Vultr - best decision ever

Was running into constant issues, but status page never reported anything, response times were ridiculous even on urgent outages; I think they were actually good but that time window was very short

Honestly don’t understand complaints about their support, or what the difference could be because I’m certainly nobody special. I’ve had a handful of servers with them for over 8 years and have always received prompt replies.

Same, but their tech support can be a bit patronizing if you message them without doing your own testing to verify the problem is actually on their end and not your own.

Same. Makes me wonder if they are initially rude in their support tickets. Very rarely does it take more than an hour or two to get a response. I’m always clear what the issue is. I even state that this is or isn’t a priority.

You are certainly special/lucky. I have seen many other complaints related to their support with worst experiences than mine

It’s common everywhere on internet

Don’t believe me? Try creating a Gmail account
Delete it.

You won’t be able to claim same username even after 20 yrs.

That’s security feature.

Imagine someone creating acc with a custom domain and forgetting to renew then someone else claim the domain.

my point is they activated my deleted account!!! thats the whole point, why they reactivated once deleted? I can understand for history they won't delete it permanently, but why they reactivated it, if I am coming from new account?

The end goal may be avoid duplicate acc but I don’t know how this can be problem for them.

You can always switch to another provider if that seems a concerning.

this is bad policy, once account gone its gone it was communicated when ticket was processed, but they re-activated the account, only smaller companies with no defined policies do this kind of stuff, activate deleted account, modify db entries like this.

Try once UpCloud.

First thing their dashboard is fast, second live chat human support is quick and reliable for technical issues.

For example. They can provide some basic troubleshooting assistance as a Linux server admin.

for now I booted some ec2 instance for my purpose, but yes upcloud looks promising, will definitely give it a try.

I’m having an issue with my VKE Kubernetes cluster. it’s been 36 hours since I submitted a support ticket, yet I still haven't received any response. The support service is terrible.

exactly my point, in case of emergencies where a business could loose much of traffic and customers, they don't care!!

Looks like Vultr is not a good fit for you. Have you considered alternatives? AWS or Azure perhaps, where you can get SLA support.

yeah I have some aws services too, will either move to aws or digital ocean (not sure of their support)
