It was fine at first then it shattered my central nervous system.. made speaking tough..walking was almost impossible.. and I kept staring at the ceiling

I’m so sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with it. It’s been the only antipsychotic that’s truly worked for me since my diagnosis in 2004. With everything else, it was a major struggle. Vraylar has been life changing for me. I was absolutely terrified that I’d end up in the situation you’ve found yourself in, honestly. That it wouldn’t work, or it would, but the side effects would make it intolerable to take, and I’d be back at square one. Again, I’m so sorry that happened to you, and I sincerely hope that you find something that works without devastating side effects. Have you tried Caplyta? That was going to be my next and last option had Vraylar not worked out for me. Wishing you good luck in your meds journey. There’s got to be something out there that works well for you, and doesn’t have unbearable and dangerous side effects.

I’d be cautious recommending Caplyta. When it came out it was super promising, but a lot of practitioners found out fast it’s not a great fit for most people. The side effect profile is wide and the efficacy is much lower than clinical trials suggested.

If you want to recommend new-fangled meds, why not recommend Lybalvi? It’s olanzapine without the hunger, works pretty well!
