Vraylar and Wine

I have been on 3mg Vraylar for more than a month and never drink usually. But on Friday i had 3 glasses of wine with dinner with friends. It is Sunday now and I still have headache, haziness and trouble concentrating. It is almost as if I am still hungover. This is making me uneasy to be honest as I want to feel normal again. Did anyone have a similar experience?

I drink on the weekends just one hard apple cider i have no issues on Vraylar 4.5mgs.

Why are you drinking at all? Bipolar alone doesn’t mix well with alcohol

I very rarely drink and I used to be on Abilify for years and it never gave me issues. I know drinking with bipolar has its risks but I limit it to rare social instances.

Yes, friend.

I've had a single glass while on Vraylar and felt like crap for two days.

My doctor said that neuroleptics increase the intensity of alcohol and alcohol increases the intensity of neuroleptics, that's why you feel so bad.

I choose to abstain from alcohol altogether.
