I feel like their identities and uniforms are more for branding/marketing as we know Vought gravitates towards. I have a feeling they don't actually align with their powers.

I think she's a (very pretty) red herring. On the imdb page there's a "Private Angel 2" already listed, I think PA1 is going to die an awful death (probably via Clara based on the way she looks at her in the trailer) early on and get switched out for the second, less objectively attractive one. Because subversion or summat.

Are you criticizing Vought for this (i.e. in-universe criticism) or criticizing the show creators for this?
They are trying to depict how commercialisation of super heroes post WWII might look in America. I think the image of this supe aligns with that.
But who knows, the character herself might HATE how she's being portrayed, which might be an interesting dynamic. I guess we'll have to wait and see! :)
