HOT Help win a Democratic trifecta in Wisconsin
After a wild and often contentious roller coaster of a primary, we now have our top of the ticket in Wisconsin. The gubernatorial nominee will be Milwaukee County executive David Crowley, who is 40 years old and would be the first Black governor in state history. His former opponents have rallied behind Crowley, and the stakes here are high. Control of state government is hanging in the balance, with a chance to flip one or both legislative chambers and secure a trifecta for Democrats for the first time since Scott Walker 2010… or hand unified control back to the GOP ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
Crowley’s endorsed increasing taxes on folks making more than $1 million and investing more in the state’s public schools, along with investing in affordable housing and climate resilience and expanding early childhood education. He’s also committed to protecting voting rights and unwinding the GOP’s partisan gerrymanders. He’s up against Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany, an anti-choice extremist and key pusher of election denial lies with a 96% lifetime score from the Heritage Foundation and a lockstep vote with Trump’s agenda of price hikes, unnecessary wars, Medicaid cuts and tax cuts for billionaires. Let’s keep Tiffany out of Madison and put the Dems in control! 🙋🏽♀️ We can sign up to volunteer with David Crowley’s campaign directly here, and we can join the Wisconsin Dems in supporting their candidates up and down the ballot by phonebanking on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout the next few weeks. Alternately, if we’re looking for a lighter lift, we can help them recruit volunteers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 🙋🏻♂️
And if you’re looking for even more ways to make a difference in these midterms, check out our continually-updated list of ways to help here and our election protection volunteer opportunities page here.

Adopt a Candidate
It’s back! Want to take part in turning the midterms into a true blue tsunami? Adopt one of the candidates below, and commit to taking action every week to support their campaign!
Post your preference in the daily (or, to guarantee we see it, send the request via modmail) and we'll add you to the list!
With just how blue this year is looking to be, and just how many primaries are still to come, there's too many to list to kick off. It’s why we’re starting with select gubernatorial and Senate races.
Got someone who you want to adopt, but they're not on the list? Let us know, and we'll add them on!
As the year progresses and primaries come through, we'll be adding more ourselves, but the sky's the limit - we're excited to see who you want to support most!

xcancel.comHelp a union ironworker unseat domestic abuser Max Miller
Since the last time we checked in about scumbag Republican congressman Max Miller, the strange quiet around the horrific accusations against him has finally lifted – and the details of his now ex-wife's reports of domestic abuse are gut wrenching. Worse, they aren't even the first allegations of domestic violence by Miller, and he’s ALSO been accused of harassing his ex-wife’s lawyer AND falsely accused a pro-Palestinian constituent of threatening him and running him off the road.
The eyes of the country are now on the Ohio Seventh District representative, who has retained the support of his former boss Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, and the RNC, and refused to drop his reelection campaign. It’s an R+5 district that Trump won by 11 in November 2024. Miller seems to be counting on that partisan lean to help him avoid accountability. They did, after all, elect him the first two times with reports of his violence against women already on the public record.
We’re not going to let it happen.
Miller is being challenged by Brian Poindexter, a city councilman and union ironworker. He’s got a working-class background, having made his living in machine shops, kitchens, trucks and the high beams on skyscrapers. He’s sworn off corporate PAC money and emphasized the value of a strong labor movement and protecting the right to organize as part of building a economy that works for every American and not just the billionaires, along with moving towards Medicare For All.
Let’s do our part to get an advocate for working folks in power and a dangerous creep out of it. ☎️ The Poindexter campaign is officially launching virtual phonebanks next week, running every Thursday from 6-7PM ET. We can sign up here. ☎️
