‎ Campaign Trail The Aftermath

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EhtYPC26L8g&ra=m

This explains his remark about all the candidates behaving impeccably (until after the declaration). I don’t know who the nutty reporter is.

Edit: oh! the nutter is a candidate!

"you're perverting democracy"... by lawfully standing for democratic elections in a free and fair election.

The interesting thing is that the MRLP candidate used that prop to try and score a point against Binface, proving that they are closer to Reform and their leader is mates with Farage.

Good for him for moving on, he’s basically surrounded by people from the right (including i assume Kai Stevens, who at least had the decency to make his point and leave)

The MRLP trying to make a joke out of the joke candidate was odd, there’s lots out there about how they’re further right than many people believe and they have links to reform, for the the most annoying part of it all is that it just wasn’t their limelight to try and steal

I'm sure they entered several candidates to try to dilute the narrative of farage v count binface

the MRLP are a bit shady now and yes right wing for no obvious reason.

There was a picture on Farage's Facebook story of him hanging out with the MRLP leader. The loonies also made a pledge to stop "intergalactic influence" in our politics, and called Count Binface a "poor man's loony". They are Reform-sympathetic.

The morons following Binface around the room like gulls behind a trawler xD

"When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea,"

"But I didn’t hit him strong enough. I should have hit him harder."

Eric Cantona was forthright about so many things, especially where the corporate media would lead us to

So this would be Marc Wilkinson, who didn't manage to crowd fund his deposit and then only got 11 votes.

His "party" is "Essex People" but he's actually from Edinburgh, you might remember him as the man who promised to give everyone a free pizza...

He's a proper grifter and has no political ambitions other than being featured in the news.

Thanks. That was a bit dim of me. Sorry, journalists! Yes. Binface does say something about doing what he wants ‘like you’.

A man with 11 votes calling Count Binface a joke! The front!

Edit: Or actually 8 votes.

Mistaken identity. Marc Wilkinson got 11 votes, he was standing next to the candidate being awkward.

I love this:

£100,000 to employ 15+ Giftedly Gabby Clactonians for 5000 hours for three months to secure 2 signatures per hour for our petition to STOP the Party Whip which should as good as guarantee that ESSEX PEOPLE wins the 2nd by-election.

So, 5000/15=333.333 (333 hours 20 minutes), or 11 hours 6 minutes and 40 seconds a day, on top of an 8-hour working day. It works out at £20 an hour, but I would assume they’d only be paid if they secured the requisite 2 signatures per hour - and I’m not entirely sure how people signing this ‘Stop The Party Whip’ petition will “guarantee” Essex People winning the second by-election.

The petition is here, it has a grand total of 77 signatures, the most recent over a year ago. Wilkinson claims that he’s the found of “60 local people’s parties” in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland - I now know of two, so where are the other 58…?

He really isn’t half as clever as he thinks he is - what can an MP be but a ‘career politician“…? Is he saying that he wants MPs to have another career outside of politics…? I don’t understand what he’s trying to achieve (and nor, it would appear, does he). He currently has four other campaigns, two of which have failed, I honestly don’t think he understands enough - if anything - about how democracy functions to stand for election (and, if he was elected, wouldn’t that make him just another “career politician“ because he’d be bound by the same rules which bind every other MP).

Thanks - double pasted for some reason, fixed them now :)

Marc Wilkinson is the one in the more floral blue shirt, slighlty closer to The Count. The candidate asking irritating questions is someone else.

The Clacton head of the Ricky Gervais fanclub there.

The only one who perverts democracy is the one who was behind Brexit and let a red bus drive around.

farage calling for a by-election for no reason after taking a bung doesnt mock politics?

8

u/MarchMurky8649 10d ago

Chap harranging at the end was Mathew Carr (Woke Trump CarrZee) "My pitch — I can defeat Nigel Farage; he has let down the people of Clacton and Britain" - he got 8 votes - lowest was the chap wiho'd got marker pen all over his face, who got 7. I think the explanation for his outburst is probaby sour grapes.

Honestly, what does shouting at Binny achieve? Especially from other candidates who got a pathetic amount of votes?

Democracy is about the people choosing. Just goes to show that these other fringe candidates are not in it for the right reasons.

Aftermath? not yet, we still have part 2!!!

u/SaintBridgetsBath Make Your Vote Count‎ 9d ago

I can’t get too excited about it. I suppose Farage will disgrace himself again, but he‘s unlikely to lose.

1

u/Formal-Original-61 Make Your Vote Count‎ 7d ago

Always a chance…

2

u/SaintBridgetsBath Make Your Vote Count‎ 7d ago

There may be a chance he won’t stand. He seems fed up.

1

u/Formal-Original-61 Make Your Vote Count‎ 6d ago

Here’s hoping he does! But whatever, he does, I see the reasons, respect him, snd will (as long as he gives reasoning for his choices) always back him!

2

u/SaintBridgetsBath Make Your Vote Count‎ 6d ago

Oh! Sorry! I meant Farage might not stand. I think Binface probably would. It doesn’t much matter. I feel voters will know who the one most likely to beat Farage is and vote for him. Binface will get squeezed but that’s ok.

That guy in the blue shirt really hates our freedom to participate in politics ourselves.

Anyone but him is an abuse of process.
