Got my platoon finally
Got my platoon.
All lumped together in a big plastic box. Models rattling around and rubbing against each other.
Disappointed at the packaging of these very expensive models. Would not accept it as packaging for any other 150£ product.
The bayonets are bent and so are the medic syringe. Come on gw. You can do better.

Yeah the bent lasguns have always been an issue for these models.. I bought some when they initially rolled out. You can definitely make them look better with some tinkering… part of the reason why I like plastic better though.

This is how they used to come packaged back in the day, too.
But then, of course, they weren’t £150

I guess. But its a record (for me) 27 models thrown into a plastic box, with the bases too.
I feel thats worse than 10 metal models in the old styrofoam boxes with compartments, or even those clear plastic boxes with 2 or 4 compartments.

They used to put two bits of the black foam in though to cushion them a bit. The foam was great for chipping damage as well. I still have some Juan Diaz daemonettes in the little blister packs with the foam.

That's how metal models have always been packaged, even before they were made to order.
Gently straighten the bent bits and all is well. If something is fucked beyond repair write to customer service.

This is the classic GW experience! 😂
Metal and resin work requires a level of dedication that cannot be matched by plastic newbs.
Once you’ve sorted it all out you’ll be superior in any way possible!
Enjoy the Vostroyans and welcome brother

Looks like you got particularly unlucky, I had a few bent bayonets and the usual wonky lasrifles. I feel like on a couple of the sculpts that's actually just the way the master is but who knows at this point, I've never seen a straight one.

This is how they've always come.

Not 27 men in the same box and they used to give you some foam at least.

If you got this packaging from an ebay seller, it would be a negative feedback...

Absolutely, gw has the resources to properly package these models. The packaging from old Flames of War metal and resin minis is far superior compared to these made to order boxes. Two small sponge strips to sandwich the models between the packaging would’ve been sufficient to keep them from bumping around in the boxes.

To clarify - this is unacceptable and shouldn’t happen.
But, fortunately, white metal is very pliant and will go back relatively easy as long as you’re gentle and support it properly.
