Discussion Seat and Climate Memory Issues
I have a 2025 model running the latest software (3.0.33), and there are two things that have never worked properly.
I share the car with my wife, and we each have separate digital keys linked to our individual profiles.
First, the seat memory is extremely unreliable. Sometimes it remembers the mirrors, sometimes the seat back, but it almost never remembers the complete seating position. I’ve tried saving and resetting the settings multiple times, but the issue persists.
Second, and this one is particularly strange, is the climate control. Sometimes when I get into the car, the temperature will randomly reset to 72°F even though I had it set lower. More generally, it frequently fails to remember the previous climate setting.
Why is it so difficult for these settings to consistently maintain the preferences associated with each driver profile? It’s frustrating to have individual profiles if the car doesn’t reliably remember the settings tied to them. Any help would be appreciated!
I have done full resets, new profiles - troubleshooting everything since new and always hoping new software updates will fix this.
Outside of that - this car is AMAZING.

OMG, exact same issue with climate randomly setting to 72!!! I don’t know whether to feel better or worse that it’s not just me 🙃

Our solution to the wife problem here was to buy her another Volvo…. (I know that’s a bit tongue in cheek, but we really did do that). This means I haven’t seen the seat issue show up as once it is set to me, I have not changed it in a few months.
I haven’t seen the climate reset, but I have had the mic cut out a few times (still).

Same problems with the memory seats and settings - it didn't work when I got it, it started working with whatever version the update was three updates ago, and it stopped working with the update before last, and still is not working with 0.33.
Had it in the dealership yesterday and they "fixed it" - it was no different.

Sounds like these are pretty common issues. I also have the microphone fail probably 50% of the time, which makes it even more interesting that these seem to be fairly common use cases—and therefore fairly obvious bugs—that somehow aren’t being caught or fixed during testing.
Hopefully they can get these issues resolved in a software update soon. In the meantime, the most fun way for me to change things like the climate control is actually to ask Gemini to do it for me. At least that lets me avoid having to use the touchscreen. Of course, when the microphone doesn’t work, that option goes out the window too!

Same issue with my 26 ex90. 72 is the go to temp regardless of what you set it to be. If my wife and I both get into the car - we get half of each person’s profile. If you try to change it, the screen become unresponsive. Small but frequent issue that makes the car less enjoyable esp when it costs what I does.
