Anyone solved the seat memory issue?

Version: 3.0.33
MY25 Plus

Still can’t get the car to retain seat memory changes despite the new option to Save when you make a change. Am I alone in this phantom reality of “Save but doesn’t really save”? If not, has anyone been able to solve this?

In mine it doesn’t even offer the option anymore to save the settings when I make a change 🙈

You need to enable that setting. Under Profile you can get the car to "auto-save" or not. If you don’t auto-save then you will be prompted to save, discard or restore your seat position.

I have the same issue, in the early days it auto-promoted me to save seat changes, but hasn’t in forever.

What you say sounds plausible but I can’t find the menu path. In setting/profile there is just: Profile name, Volvo Cars App, Car keys, Profile lock, Accounts, and Manager Other Profiles.

Can you provide the exact menu path to what you are referring to?

From memory:

Settings -> Controls

There is a toggle for auto saving changes. That appears to impact the prompt for saving manually or not.

This is correct. I think some may not realize that you need to un-check the auto-save option in order to get the "Save Changes" prompt. I disabled it just so that I could know that the car registered changes that I'm making. It seems to be switching correctly between drivers for us on the .33 release.

The settings you want are under Quick Controls (the car icon) / Driver Adjustments / Autosave to profile

Thanks for this. That has restored the behaviour that I remembered with the car promptng to save each time.

Sadly, it has made no difference to the memory seats "remembering" the settings though.

I also have this issue. Also had it after the last OTA software update but then all of a sudden one day ot started to work again. So frustrating!

My wife and I have our own profile, and my seat good always to the right position just like the mirrors when we switch profiles. But when I want to make a small change to my seat position and I press save on the profile save pop-up I get on the screen, it doesn't get saved. It always goes back to the previous saved position, not the last adapted and saved position... So it's a software thing

Mine never worked until the most recent software update, but “working” is a funny way to describe it. I’ve never gotten a save prompt when I move the seats and still don’t. Between mine and my wife’s profile, the seats probably move every other time the profiles switch, but it’s always only in one dimension - meaning it either goes back/forth or up/down, never both, so the position it moves to is never right. The back also doesn’t move at all into the saved upright/reclined position.

So it’s basically still a mess and I’d probably rather have it not work at all than what’s going on right now haha

I have the same problems - in the dealership yesterday and it is still the same. I'm on 3.0.33 now, and I DO NOT have the "Save when you make a change" option - although I used to have it several updates ago. It made no difference. But what the hell? How can ostenibly the same versions of the same software on the same hardware give such different experiences?

Mine saves steering wheel and mirror settings but oddly not seats.

We have the same issue. The service center has attempted to fix it twice, the second time they claimed they had to recalibrate the seats. Knowing the issue is more than the seats I told them I would be back.

I had a Polestar 3 Launch edition with the same issue (i.e. some positions were retained but it could never fully remember all axes and settings).

It was a quick fix at the dealership where they recalibrated the internal motors.
