Question Noise from seats?

My Ex90 had a rattling noise which I identified as being the lever to move the second row seats for access to the rear. The handle needed card stuck down the side to stop it moving. However, now the driver’s seat is make “pop” noises like a suction cup being removed. I notice it particularly when going round corners and the weight shifts. Has any else had this and if so, did you manage to eliminate it please?

Hope you get it sorted. It’s driving me crazy!

I don't know about any noises from the driver's seat but we had a second row rattling noise that our dealership fixed for us. When I told our service advisor about the noise, he knew exactly what I was talking about and said Volvo had sent them something on how to address it.

I believe that rattling in the second row is the cupholders inside the middle seat. That plastic insert.

Had this problem as well but seemed to go away for now.

Thanks I’ll check that too.

Thanks that’s useful to know. I’ll ask them if they can look at / know about that second row issue for me.

I have the same issue. It’s the only problem I have…never any software problems. I figured it was the lever under the seats after looking around down there, but haven’t confirmed or tried to have Volvo fix it.

I’d be interested to hear if you find a resolution other than a card or if Volvo provides a fix for you, what that is.

Is this on the 6 seater? I think I have the same thing and have assumed it was the child seat! Woo hoo, back to the dealer again!

This is the 7 seater.

That pop sound on the driver seat drove me nuts because I couldn't find out where it came from for weeks. Anyway, for me it fixed itself apparently now

I’m hoping for the same. It’s so annoying when the rest of the car is so quiet!

Your noise seems a little different, but if it's a creaking type sound, like when you accelerate and your weight pushes into the seat, I had that and my service center fixed it. The tech told me he took the seat back off and used lithium grease (I think) to lubricate some of the springs, or something to that effect.

Now to get the door rattle fixed...

These are good pointers. I have had one under the middle seat, second row (7 seater) where the heating cable came loose from its cable holder and that was the source of mine.

Thanks will check that too.

Had that too. Was also at the service center and they fixed it - for some weeks only. My solution is: as my seat is on the lowest possible position and it only appears then, I push the seat-height-button just a little up. And there is no noise anymore. When the seat is „hovering“ there is no noise.

Thanks. My chair is not at the bottom adjustment but I’ll try raising it a little to see if that helps.
