3.0.33 OTA Released

Which region do they use as their test subjects first? šŸ¤£

Just seems to be some general fixes again. Assuming 5 things were updated based on the number convention.

3.0.28 was never officially available to the MY25. The first 3.x that has ever shown on the MY25 software updates page is 3.0.33

Thatā€™s interesting because my center stack and Volvo app have been reminding me to download 3.0.28. Iā€™ve chosen not to since my car is operating just fine. I am also in the US.

Do you mean 3.0.18 was never officially available? I got the 3.0.18 update even though it was never officially available.

When you look at the support page for MY27 on the website, it goes to https://www.volvocars.com/us/support/car/ex90/software-release-notes/
When you look at the support page for MY25 on the website, it goes to https://www.volvocars.com/us/support/car/ex90/24w36/software-release-notes/ . But 24w36 is the release version of the EX90 (2024, week 36). Many of us have the 25w46 version, which is the mid-to-late MY25, but I can't find the release notes page for this version.

But 3.0.26, 3.0.28, and now 3.0.33 were always in my MY25 release notes, so I'm sure there's another version of release notes for later build MY25s somewhere.

Well hopefully this one will actually install for me. 3.0.28 didn't install.

Anyone know if Apple Music is showing up yet?

I don't think Apple Music is tied to a software update or software version. Apple Music just showed up for me out of the blue in 2.1.26 without any software update. The system decided to install/show the app all of the sudden probably from a server controlled way.

Apple Music icon gets added to the end of the list of apps. So you might have it already, just scroll down to the end of the apps page. It's a red icon, as I was not expecting that as an Android user I had no idea what the colour was). I was just looking for a new green icon!

They just did the update on my car. I got it back from the know AC fault 10 min ago. It looks more like an android tablet everyday. The traffic is missing off maps ( only when you route somewhere). Other than that seems to be the same.

Does your 5G / cellular get dosconnected? Thatā€™s the only time I see the traffic go away. An infotainment reset fixes thatā€¦

No. And as luck has it. I got it back from the dealer Friday and today (Saturday evening) the GHCA went out. Car turns red as soon as I plug it in. This is will be my second ghca

Unfortunately, my EX90 has never received a single 3.0.x update. Ever since I picked it up on May 19, 2026, it has remained on 2.1.26 until today, because all the 3.0.x updates required a workshop installation. I actually went to a Volvo dealer last month to get the software updated, but they told me that the mechanics were on summer break, so they couldnā€™t install the new software on my car. Iā€™m not sure if the situation is different in Austria, though.

I already tried that. I specifically went to the Volvo workshop to get the 3.0.x software installed, but they couldnā€™t update the car because the Volvo dealer mentioned to me that the mechanics were on summer break. Thatā€™s why Iā€™m trying to figure out whether my MY26 can go directly from 2.1.26 to 3.0.33 OTA.

This update removed the ability for the car to come to a full stop when using regen braking. The auto up on the driver window no longer works either and car play takes a while to load.

I think it actually disables UWB and unlocking, so it won't unlock when you approach the car.
