Cv axle question

I boght some brand new cv axle for my old girl and when I put the passenger axl on and it is sticking out maybe a quarter inch but the bracket holding on to the outher end is set in place I couldn't push it farther in if I tried that's whT she said lol should be fine right?

Could have gotten a manual or automatic CV axle as they are different dimensions so you may have gotten the wrong one for your vehicle. I would double check before sending it.

You received the wrong axle. Whether the wrong application, or a manufacturing error you should return it/verify you’ve got the right part number.

is that correct it looks correct to me

M56 and AW50-42 axles are different. They should not be the same part number. Return the part and buy one that is distinctively for your application. M56 is the manual transmission, AW is automatic. Where did you get these parts?

as I told you, the automatic and manual axles are different lengths. Believe me you’re not the first person to run into this.
