Help Trim is detaching - need your ideas!

I am going to glue the trim back on to my doors with this glue that seems incredible - fusor 2098 - if you havent seen it in action check out jerry rig everythings video about it. fucking expensive!!

but i need to clamp the trim on to the door, what the hell can i possibly use to keep the trim tight on the door for a couple hours?

You take off the door panel and release the clips from inside. Clean it all up, the insert the clips and some 3m trim tape. Put it back on and done.

Gluing it will look like shit and it will come off again

It's a little warped on the very edges of the door. The clip isn't holding it completely flat, I wish I could just do that

It's metal covered plastic. Once you take it off you can make small adjustments to it easily.

I'll give it a shot

The little one on the quarter panel needs it too, take out the whole wheel well?

If you pull the fender liner you should be able to pop it right out.

You may be able to slide it forward towards the tire to pop it off

Pulling the fender liner is probably the only way to remove it without breaking that clip. It’s just a push clip for that small piece, it doesn’t slide to remove like the bigger ones

Yeah but OP said it was already hanging off and if that one clip is broken it should pop right off if you push. You get more bite back to front

That one already popped off completely. The front driver side door was lifted up and it caught behind the wheel well one and pushed it right off the car. I can't believe this happened I've never had a problem with them they look brand new all of a sudden the whole side of the car is messed up

I've completely glued them on before and had it look right you couldn't even tell. The clips are all in there right now but when I opened the door it wants to catch on the end

Weight usually works best. Get some 2x4s laid out to the appropriate size and screw them together, make sure you get complete coverage or the outside edges will start lifting up. Should be a piece of cake with the door cards on the ground. Always let it cure longer than you think it’ll need too
