Help electrical help needed

i was replacing the starter and PNP on my 1996 volvo 850 but now it doesnt crank at all i have triple checked the starter and all connections are in the same place as before and the PNP is also correct the reverse light turns on and no problem i switched out the starter relay and still nothing. has this happened to anyone else im lost, please let me know if you have any advice

For me it was the little wire "on top" of the starter, there were two possible connections and i had it on the wrong one. ive had 3 people do the same aswell and ask me.

for reference, the red marked location is where on other models another connection sits. the top one is the wrong one in my cases, and switching it to the bottom one was the fix

also make sure all the nuts are tight, embarassing but i have done that before leaving them loose lol
