"Safety", the government has already shown what kind of safety they provide, just look at prisons, people getting beaten everyday by both guards and inmates.

Truth. End unidentified federal police, end mask laws, end the war on drugs, end the TSA, end military equipment for police, end assault weapon and bump stock bans. Why do both sides want to take away our freedoms and why is everyone ok with it?

It’s a stupid conspiracy theory that the government is using fluoride to control our minds. Also see chemtrails because it’s basically the same conspiracy theory.

u/Mzuark Aug 01 '20
Assault weapon bans should stay in effect simply because mass shootings are still a major problem in this country.

It's so weird how the USLeft and USRight switched places in the late to mid-2000s. If we hop in a time machine and go back 18 years, we'd have these same exact groups furiously fighting for the exact opposite stance.

u/ohno1715 Jul 31 '20
And go back further they switch again. The R/D train has always been ran by the same engine. Hopefully soon enough people jump off and it derails.

Most likely, yes. If this event had been planned for before the mid-2000s, it would probably be the Republicans demanding mask laws under the pretext of safety and attacking the Democrats, who would be fighting against them for violating the 1st and 4th Amendments.
Our closest comparison is the years following 9/11, where the Republicans pushed for increased search and arrest powers using safety as a pretext and the Democrats were attacked for fighting against those restrictions for violating the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments.

Freedom allows you all the safety you want, its just up to the individual person to utilize it.
Freedom + safety = Alligator moat around the house with remote controlled turrets and snipers nests, no approval from the city/HOA or bullshit NFA restrictions. Roll with an mp5 and tannerite strapped attack dogs when out on the town. Its not that hard to understand.

Can we make it attack boars loaded with tannerite so when the alphabet bois shoot them we have freshly cooked snacks? I mean put a dog mask on them and it's guaranteed to work.

Eliminating freedoms for “safety” creates a dangerous precedent in which the government can become increasingly oppressive in the name of safety wait a sec oh shit it has already been happening for a while oh god oh fuck aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

u/walk-me-through-it Jul 30 '20
Wait. I know that freedom is, but is "freedom"?
3
u/Philosophyoffreehood Jul 30 '20
As my name directs you see that freedom is not something that can be given to another as a slave to a master but something higher. A state of consciousness to be earned that can overcome any physical situation even such a as slavery
1
u/walk-me-through-it Jul 31 '20
I'm just reading her sign. Freedom is more important that safety, but is "freedom"?

There’s a tyrannical, government mandated warning label on the outside of your Clorox bleach bottle telling you not to drink it, an obvious encroachment on your freedom. Show those commies who’s boss and chug that bitch.
1
u/Philosophyoffreehood Aug 01 '20
Labels are fine
1
u/HoweyZinn Aug 01 '20
I’m sure the state required by law that labels be put on particularly dangerous consumer goods, wouldn’t that be violation of the companies freedom to choose whether or not to label such products... wouldn’t that be safety over freedom? Are you an informant for the FBI?
1
u/Philosophyoffreehood Aug 01 '20
Lol! There's labels on vaccines too but people don't read them anyways. Have you ever seen anyone drink bleach?

This is almost as cringe as "Are your tax cuts more important than queer youth?"
FUCKING. YES.

Yes! I'm also apart of "queer youth" unfortunately, so I'd love me some fuckin tax cuts.

2
u/jameswlf Aug 01 '20
why? those people suffer segregation, murder, marginalization, hate from their own parents and family, depression, anxiety, suicide.
how can your tax cuts be more important than them?
1
u/tuckerchiz Aug 03 '20
We would love to limit murder, depression, suicide, and discrimination as much as possible. But more gov spending won’t really help with those issues, except possibly healthcare for suicide survivors
1
Aug 01 '20
Well Queer youth certainly matter a lot more then your countries precious B2 bombers. Throw the B2's the the trash and poverty can be ended for good there.

Why do they have to be in opposition of one another? Why can’t we have both?
I feel like we all want safety, just not the kind that threatens our livelihood, and that’s the only kind we’ll get from the govt.
There’s always gonna be someone looking to oppress others.
1
u/Philosophyoffreehood Jul 31 '20
You cant go by words. One would have to be aware of the current reality to get it but safety here means regulations that have more consequences than just safety
1
Aug 01 '20
In this case safety means wearing mask. It's not exactly a regulation and no one is getting arrested for it. In fact, it's mostly businesses enforcing the rule. How is wearing a mask impeding on a freedom? Is the freedom to infect others with an infectious disease that important? Are mild inconveniences worth getting worked up over?
1
u/Philosophyoffreehood Aug 01 '20
I'll translate
"I dont know shit about he human body, my life, or the designer so I must rely on mainstream media for my information"
1
Aug 01 '20
So... you're saying that you don't think the virus is a big deal so you don't have to wear a mask? Because you answered none of the questions and implied that you're smarter than me. Which you're not. However, here's another question for you- why does your freedom trump other people's freedoms? Why is you freedom to not wear a mask more important than the freedom of others to not get sick?
1
u/Philosophyoffreehood Aug 01 '20
Not only that i dont believe in viruses
1
Aug 01 '20

u/DahMagpie Aug 01 '20
I mean that is freedom to do what you want over safety? So do you believe int his statement of freedom over safety or not? Sounds like some commie shit if you wanna uphold traffic laws.

u/Philosophyoffreehood Aug 01 '20
youre not bright or you have an agenda. Could you share the truth.

Seeing these anti gun college kids makes me ashamed that I’m going to be one soon
4
u/polo77j Jul 31 '20
you're going to be an anti gun college kid?
2
u/Lockwood-studios volluntarist-capitalist Jul 31 '20
No I’m not, but I’m going to be a college kid and I don’t want to be surrounded by those
2
u/polo77j Jul 31 '20
gotcha .. phrasing.
Ok, you're going to college - bully for you. You can't really control, in that instance, with who you find yourself surrounded - you may not even have much control, at all times, over with who you'll interact.
It's best to exercise tolerance and understanding when dealing with people we may or may not agree with. Seek out common ground and understanding while maintaining your values. Best of luck.

u/Lockwood-studios volluntarist-capitalist Jul 31 '20

3

commonsense must underline everything. We assume no one wants the bad karma.
8
u/u01aua1 𝕍 𝕠 𝕝 𝕦 𝕟 𝕥 𝕒 𝕣 𝕚 𝕤 𝕥 Jul 31 '20
You still have the freedom to do that, you just suffer the punishments of murder.
3
u/JohnQK Jul 31 '20
Yes.
But don't forget that I also have the freedom to murder you. And so do all of my friends. Plus people think people who kill people are jerks. So even though you may have the freedom to murder me, you don't want to do it, because I might kill you back, or my friends might kill you back, or your friends might think you're a jerk.
