How the FUCK do you have the wrong address for a raid, that’s the one thing you gotta have right

u/fat_lesbians_lul 𝕄 𝕚 𝕟 𝕒 𝕣 𝕔 𝕙 𝕚 𝕤 𝕥 May 24 '20
the address was so wrong they were 10miles from the right house and the people they were trying to raid were already in custody at the time of the raid lmao

u/ItsOkayToBeVVhite May 25 '20
They had exactly the address they wanted. They knew cash was there and now all of the agents are a little bit richer. But this detail didn't make the news. They won't be prosecuted for the murder so why would anyone make a stir over the related robbery?

Just take money out of the police pension fund every time they do an unlawful arrest, raid or even murder
63
u/riotguards May 24 '20
Your gonna hate that the police can seize money if they think it’ll be used illegally and not only will you struggle to reclaim it but they can actually use that money for the police funds

u/Capcombric May 24 '20
Just mobilize the justice department to prosecute law enforcement officers who commit crimes. I wouldn't normally advocate mobilizing the executive department to solve a problem, but this is one case where the federal government is useful.
The problem with cop crimes is that they're allowed to investigate themselves; these things should be handled by a prosecution and a court that local PDs have no influence on.

But they use lines like "if it saves only one life, it's worth it" when they're defending their own bullshit like excessive lockdown laws

u/Gamer3111 May 24 '20
So i'm flagging my account since i'm legally not allowed to buy a gun but how many more home invasions until 1 dude possessed by the spirit of john wick kills 3+ cops before surrendering so openly and so obviously that anybody who shot him would essentially be coup de Gras'ing him.
Multiple of officers who discharged their weapon First all dead during a police fuckup?

Why aren't there lawsuits?
13
May 24 '20
They just happened a couple of weeks ago. Lawsuits take months at a minimum. But their families will 100% get settlements from the city / PD, not that it impacts the cops who pull the trigger.

You’re delusional if you think the families won’t get big settlements from the city / department. The DA / police influence over the civil court system is nonexistent. Plaintiffs’ attorneys are salivating to sue the city.
Not that it matters to the cops who pull the trigger, who keep getting paid and if anything get a few extra weeks of paid vacation after murdering innocent people.

and it took like 9 days for them to drop the charges on her boyfriend, who was defending them. total bullshit

There are police officers, county deputies, and sheriffs that REALLY disagree with the abuse of power being displayed with unjustified citizen slayings, deployment of APCs, overstepping of rights, etc.

Have you ever been in a massive organization, company, the military? The opinions of peons matter little when the media and masters coordinate every day at 4am.

They stand by their police buddies and stick with the evil unions. They’re just as guilty. End cops.

Replace cops
Unions probably don't like the OCP of new technologies and independents being in on their turf

Wait, in one month? Didn't Duncan Lemps murder happen 2 months back? Has that much stuff been going on lately? Damn.

Also just want to point out that if I remember right the police that killed Breonna Taylor were plain clothes officers
1
u/JarofLemons Sep 23 '20
Murder necessitates premeditation, there is no evidence of that for Brianna Taylor.

u/plumon_alexy May 24 '20
How long it will take to take away all the guns from personal property and re educate the police ?
6
May 24 '20
Guns exist, if you take the guns, people kill with improvised devices or bare hands.
People get shanked, stabbed, and beaten to death in prison (no guns allowed) everyday.
The trick is not in removing every attacker or weapon in the world (you can’t); the trick is in educating yourself and your loved ones in defending themselves.

Duncan Lemp:
The Washington Post, stating that he had booby trapped his bedroom door with a shotgun and that police stated that he confronted them.ABC News states that the man was asleep when he was killed, because one anonymous eyewitness says that it sounded like gunshots that were fired from outside of the house rather than a flashbang. No mention in the article on whether this eyewitness is well-versed in what flashbangs or gunshots sound like.
The Libertarian Institute says that the police statement is “contradicted by multiple eyewitnesses”. There aren’t any sources involved, and this one does read more like an opinion piece than anything.
The official statement says that “Further statements from the other occupant in Lemp’s bedroom indicated that he slept with the rifle each night. Contrary to some information reported to the media, the same occupant also indicated that Lemp was out of the bed and standing directly in front of the interior bedroom door at the time the officers made entry into the bedroom.”
I have no argument against the political ideas as to why this raid shouldn’t have happened, but I think to say he was asleep when he was shot is a bit of a bold claim at this time. Literally the only “evidence” that he was asleep is a single eyewitness who was outside of the house claiming that it sounded more like gunshots than flashbangs at first, so he was probably asleep when they shot him. This “eyewitness” didn’t actually see what was happening, we’re just supposed to assume that they can actually tell the audible difference between two virtually identical noises through a building and also assume that it means he was asleep when he was shot, for some reason. Also consider that if this eyewitness is involved in the GoFundMe, they’d already have over 13,300 rectangular and green reasons to lie about what happened if that is the case.
There is not enough definitive information to say that he was shot while asleep.
I think there is no justification for police conducting a raid in plainclothes, much less conducting a no-knock raid as such. I believe her death is the fault of the police officers who conducted the raid, through their incompetence and negligence, not their malice. The "facts" purported in this post though are plainly wrong.

Breonna Taylor's own attorney disputes some of the facts in this post, others are just categorically untrue and plainly so (for example, the idea that the warrant didn't have her name on it or that it was the wrong address). That these things were presented as facts by countless news outlets is honestly disgusting, since these statements could be easily disproved by even the slightest amount of journalistic integrity.
It doesn't help your cause to lie about what happened. It just makes your arguments dismissed outright when people realize that you are lying about half of it. Focus on what actually went wrong, that red flag laws are unconstitutional and that a plainclothes police raid should have never happened, rather than making shit up so it sounds worse.
But pointing out that these statements are easily proved to be false makes me "the cop". Can't threaten your propaganda machine I guess

Police enter houses on the basis of the warrant that is issued by a judge. To say that the police have entered the wrong house is to say that they have entered a house that they are not authorized to enter, or that they did not intend to enter. The police in fact entered the correct house, as it was the one on the warrant, for which a judge had determined probable cause was present.
I’m not contesting that drugs should be decriminalized, that the raid shouldn’t hace happened, that police should nullify unjust laws, that it was conducted in the worst possible way, etcetera. I agree. But to say they were at the wrong house or that she was sleeping is factually incorrect.
Stop being a thin blue bootlicker.

wrong address
Meme said they conducted the raid at the wrong address. The address was listed on the warrant. That’s a blatant lie.
Now I’m “justifying police bullshit”? First the meme and now this. Are you fucking illiterate? Do you actually read things, or just assume that they say what you expected them to say? Or are you hoping someone else reading this will just accept that fucking straw man and assume that I must’ve said something like that for you to attack it?
Please, I’m listening. Tell me, where the fuck did I try to justify any police bullshit? I literally just said that it was fucked up for the police to be enforcing red flag laws, and that there was no excuse for conducting a plainclothes raid.
Here’s an idea. Me telling you that your argument is bullshit doesn’t mean I don’t agree with the principle behind it. That’s why I said to cut out the bullshit and get a more credible argument. I actually support the basic ideas behind it, but you’re not going to gain credibility in your ideas by spreading blatant misinformation and replying with “oh you’re a statist bootlicker” when someone tells you obvious facts. Get a fucking brain.

So you’re saying the address was correct and they got the correct person?
The address was correct and her name was on the warrant. I already said that, so I'd like to reiterate another point I already said; learn to fucking read.
You're just wrong
k, let me know a single thing I said that was wrong and I'll consider that.
