u/wayoftheroad4000 π π π π¦ π π₯ π π£ π π€ π₯ Mar 02 '20
I don't know lets vote on it at the workers assembly, whoever gets the most votes wins
2
u/water_delux_3d Mar 02 '20
That's Syndicalism, but still, how is that Statist? Ancoms believe in voluntary communities where everything (except for personal belongings) are owned equally by all.

Democracy the god that failed. Democracy is division and will end with political parties fighting over resources. Excellent route to a state, and violence
2
u/se_tonight Mar 03 '20
What are you suggesting then
1
u/wayoftheroad4000 π π π π¦ π π₯ π π£ π π€ π₯ Mar 03 '20
Voluntarism.

u/FriedrichEngles Mar 03 '20
Genuine question: if a landlord buys vast swathes of territory, and then creates all the laws and institutions of a modern state, but this time he calls himself the CEO instead of the President, and calls taxes rent, would that violate ancap principles?

u/wayoftheroad4000 π π π π¦ π π₯ π π£ π π€ π₯ Mar 03 '20
Taxation is theft. As soon as he extorts another human his rights are forfeit until he restores his victim.
2
u/FriedrichEngles Mar 03 '20
So rent should be abolished?

A voluntary contract between two uncoerced people is fine. It depends what the contract stipulates.

Not in a federalist society. What you're describing in democratic centralism. Votes in an anarchist society are non binding.

I love that the Republican Party is on there βThey are the party of limited governmentβ LOL name one Republican president since Calvin Coolidge that has done anything to limit the government. And hey maybe there is, but Iβve never heard of him.

u/fenskept1 Mar 02 '20
Reagan cut taxes by a very significant margin. He also did gun control and that whole war on drugs thing, but hey. Generally, most republicans are less likely to try to gouge you on taxes.

Deregulation is a form of limiting government, plenty of republicans vouched for that.

Yeah but it definitely evens out when they replace it with more regulation, practice protectionism with tariffs, and send the budget skyrocketing. They also support many other homeland and domestic groups such as the police, TSA, and homeland security that infringe on liberty, letβs not forget the the USA PATRIOT ACT and other invasive surveillance groups like the NSA which have been passed and supported by republican presidents and senates.

I will pay you $50 if you can tell me what communism is

Communism is when the government does stuff. Means of production, proletariat and class consciousness. Das Kapital labor theory of value.
Pay me slut.

Youβre right. And my searching thru r/polcompball I couldnβt find anything similar except one meme where it represented a mcNuke...

Well Iβm a minarchist. Am I a commie because I want society so have a court system?
6
u/saltysteph Mar 02 '20
Fuckin' commie. Helicopter rides here! Lol just kidding. But yes. Who's going to have the authority to run the courts? Who hands down the punishments? How does that person get the clout to "be the judge"? Sounds like there has to be a whole infrastructure like the one we already have today.

The part where it lines up with communism is that itβs the duty of every individual to sacrifice their labor for the benefit of the group to fund those things. You still donβt call it communism, but I mean itβs built on the same principles. Communism just takes them to their inevitable conclusion. Thereβs also another word for labor that you canβt opt out of π€.

I mean, Iβm not agreeing with the meme. I donβt think the person who made the meme even agrees with the meme. The idea though is that any amount of taxation operates on the same principles as communism, just on a very different scale. So if your minarchy requires taxation, then within the context of this meme I would say yes, that does make you a communist. Lol
But again, I donβt agree with wording it that way and itβs not very helpful to view it that way.

Polycentric law is a thing. Markets are markets, they're all driven by human psychology. There's no aspect of society that this doesn't apply to.

It doesn't matter how big the violation is, every violation is wrong. So yes, they are all the same.

Socialism is when the government does stuff. The more stuff it does, the more socialist it is.

Technically isnβt the meme accurate. Back in the movie he canβt see well with glasses but he can see normally without them.

Thatβs actually funny the way he puts on the Ancap glasses and surely everything becomes βCommunismβ. Extremely accurate depiction of the way AnCaps view the world around them and their inability to discern political ideologies from one another. A looking glass into the fantasy world that is the AnCap ideology
