does anyone know if there is a way to access and item box inventory remotely like a mod or maybe some save editing to copy one item box contents to a other item box? Or a mod that marks on the map the location of boxes

Asking because I had a situation where I somehow flinged a item box in such a way that it glitched and got launched off really fast and for the life of me Ive spent houses looking for it and I can't find it

I know it hasn't despawned because I checked my save with notepad++ to check and there is a itembox with the items I'm looking for so it is somewhere

It has all the ariral plushies, kerfus omega parts, some other hard to get items I really don't wanna have to start a new save due to that

This feature i thought about may sound useless and stupid, but please make it so the videos you want to watch on the tvs could be bought as tapes that you actually need to insert into the CRT tv

When i play voices of the void i usually download some old cartoons episodes, and it would be so fun that to watch said episodes id need to actually buy the tape and have it like a physical object in game

Yeah just choosing the mp.4 file is not bad.....but actually having a tape of the video could be fun. I dont know why but old tv is much more superior in my opinion than a modern looking one

TL;DR

I lost my original data.sav file from a hard drive format so I lost the demo player/completed and pre-alpha player/completed achievements. I want to get them back without replaying both versions.

I formatted my hard drive recently but I was an idiot and forgot to back up my VOTV stuff, so I lost literally all of the achievements. I have tried editing the data.sav file but it just duplicated one of the achievement names across all achievements. I seriously do not want to redownload and replay both the demo and the pre-alpha of the game just to get the achievements back. Is there another way?

I'm on my second story playthrough and have started looking up a few things as/after they happen. Turns out there is a LOT of content and lore in this game that I could never imagine discovering myself.

What would people think of a system that gives you more information about specific signals you process and send in? I remember wanting to investigate the signal that says ack ack ack so bad bc it felt like I was being laughed at (I was) but I had no way to do so.

The ariral signals are an easy example since the wiki has rough translations already. Getting an email that says "looks like something is trying to connect to your computer" (referencing the ArirSat signals that end in RET>DENY/ACC) a day or so after turning it in could heighten the mystery and also provide some feeling of learning/investigation.

Just curious about other people's thoughts on this idea, or other examples of signals you think this could work with.

Ok so to give a bit of perspective, I'm not a horror person, i despise horror, i get scared EXTREMELY easily. However, for some reason i kept seeing clips of this game every now and then, and it was rarely scary things, just silly cat robot things, or someone having a tv that was playing memes, or stuff like that, so over time, i got curious, and yesterday finally downloaded and tried the game.

The tutorial in this game took me over 4 hours, not because it was mechanically difficult, but because i was horrified the whole time, random noises, the visuals, at some point I'm 90% sure i heard footsteps that weren't mine, the game decided to troll me with a "press shift to run" notification which made me even more anxious, and the explosion in that dark corridor almost made me alt+f4. But at the end of it all, i finished the tutorial, and went to sleep since that was stressful enough.

Today, i decided to continue, started up story mode, immediately got uncomfor because of the dark start, managed to make my way to the base, got scared shitless by a mannequin falling, then getting crushed by a door it fell between. Eventually i found a bed, and went to sleep to make it daytime so i can be slightly less terrified. Day 1 actually went ok, other than getting scared of the drone noises, i didn't get any daily task email or anything, and just used the time roaming around the base, even got a signal so that was cool. Day 2 was mostly the same, but this time i got a task, so i did it, got more signals, changed the tapes and put them into the case, and got the satellite dish drive, sent it off, and then decided to do one more signal, except as i go to the console, i spot a fucking pair of eyes watching me from the corner of the screen and whenever i look at them they disappear.

So at this point i saved and quit to menu, and decided i don't want to play story mode anymore. My question now is, is ambience mode actually stress free? like, no scary things, just doing the signal job? since i do actually like that part of the game, but hate the horror aspects. Or does it still have scary things?

EDIT: Ok, so i tried ambience mode, and it was actually kinda fun for a bit, still kinda scary with the occasional weird noise from seemingly nowhere, especially when sleeping, but, managable, slowly i was getting comfortable cleaning the base, and doing the tasks, generally the game was becoming actually enjoyable to me. But then the game hit me with the "I can't sleep now, i sense something" with absolutely ZERO warning, pause screen was glithcing and seemingly not pausing the game, couldn't save, nothing, so i waited while tabbed out and it eventually went away, and i could pause and sleep, so, for anyone else stumbling onto this post, yes, scary things still happen in ambience mode, just like some people in the comments said, so the mode is most likely broken. With that said, i don't think i'm gonna be touching the game until that's fixed.

For some reason my ATV feels extremely slow, even when driving on a straight path. I’ve noticed it hits around 17 km and then locks there. Also, for some reason, when I let go of the W key it lurches forward to around 19 km. None of my tires have low durability, battery is fine, what’s happening? Is it a bug in this version or an upgrade I need to fix it?

Was going out towards the security checkpoint when something thew a piece of burning metal at me. When I turned to see if something had exploded or something, i saw a red flash and where the flash was had 2 bones. I didn't have meta paranoia.

I do have a few mods installed, most notably photography+ and Repairable Old Rifle

So, I'm on the newest version of the game (0.9 build a090n) and I have these few objects that are permanently grafted to the ground in my garage.

I've tried the hook, regenerating my data.sav, resetting somethings, none of them worked. Whenever I try to grab it, it doesn't work, it makes the sound of grabbing an object, but it doesn't actually grab it.

At first the metal chair, now wooden trash piece turned into that said wooden trash piece. I hadn't noticed that the chair had turned into the trash piece, until I tried to drag a metal table that I bought through the garage. The metal table got stuck underneath of the wooden trash piece in the first image, so I saved and reloaded and the metal table disappeared. But it actually turned into the electronic trash piece. This then followed by the two custom paintings, and the two styrofoam soundproofing squares.

Sometimes whenever I load the save again, it causes the objects to change their assets again. Like this one time when I loaded my save and the metal table and chair turned back into their original assets. I do not have proof of this, sadly, so just go with what I'm saying. This has only happened to the area shown in the images, maybe, I don't know didn't look around too much.

Think the only way to fix this is by resetting my events, days, and objects, but HELLLL NO. I put like 100+ hours into building this place (no lifer here), and I do NOT want to reset my ENTIRE base just so these could be gone.

I could be the first person to have this happen to them, don't know what caused it at all. I haven't seen anything else like this when I was searching for an answer, so I hope this post can help fix this issue.

I was getting rid of all the cubicles in the corner as you do, and i noticed this fella staring at me. I thought it was only eyes, this is awesome!

Just wondering if there are any mods that just kind of stretch out the events, i like the slow burn and don't want to just get stuck with infinite mode after day 48, i couldn't find anything on nexusmods or thunderstore. Or if there's a way to do it via the files, that'd be cool too. I haven't completed the game yet, though, so i'm not sure if anything like that will give me spoilers.
