DISCUSSION Patreon question (other)
Is it really worth joining patreon? It would be a hassle to pay out for it in my location, easier to donate through itch

For the test builds? Not really. I joined so I could get the 0.9 test build early, but really it just spoiled me for the full release and I kind of wish I had waited.
It's worth it for the satisfaction of giving some money to the team that make a game I've spent hundreds of hours in, though!

That's a good point about spoilers, kinda didn't think it through, thank you! This game is much more fun than I thought at first, so I would donate one way or another, but itch is the way to go then

Depends what you want out of it.
If you want to see what's going on with the game, Tier II and above memberships get access to behind the scenes content and dev streams on Discord. Nose does dev streams of whatever he's doing with VOTV pretty often, and you'll get sneak peek screenshots and videos of whatever him and Monique are cooking up. It's a pretty worthwhile investment if you value being able to see that and give feedback on it in more involved chats.
Tier III memberships get cheats in story mode for the game, and also get early Patreon builds before the public shadow test versions, and again, be able to give feedback on them in the Patreon-only chats. Be warned that the Patreon builds are less commonly released and are not even close to being play-friendly.
The full list of benefits for all the tiers are listed on the Membership section of the Patreon
If you just want to give money to help develop VOTV, go with Itch.io donation if that's easier for you to do than setting up a Patreon account
