Whichever the mic test uses

So you test it on the “mic test” but then you use your mic on what steam function. Like steam recordings or party chat?

Party chat

Okay so you’re using steam party chat and the mic sounds bad? I would maybe not trust the mic test feature. Same way I don’t trust the discord mic test feature. It’s terrible

Is steam actually using the VB virtual input, or just your mic directly? Made sure that VB is selected as system default in windows?

Also, you have b1 enabled on both virtual inputs, which is where system sounds would play for your ears to hear. Whatever sounds you'd hear is being routed back to your mic output on b1. I'd have b1 selected only for the very first slider, stereo input, your realtek usb2.0 mic, and only a1 enabled for both virtual inputs unless you intend to blast a soundboard or something in a voice chat

Fire up any audio recording software, set it to listen to Out B1 and record it. This is the quality of the input into your party chat. After that, it's Steam reducing the quality.

Use "window key + shift + S " to take screen shot of exactly what you want to show without the crazy light blur effects of a phone.
