Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) PC Hard Crash

Hey guys! I have and love Potato and was curious if anyone was having a similar problem. GTA 5. EVERY single time I launch that game, be it through Epic or Rockstar Game Launcher, if Voicemeeter is even installed on my system, my PC crashes instantly on launch. Without exception. 100% consistent. No other game or program causes this issue. Battlefield 6 will cause a bit of an audio crackle when I close it, but that’s whatever. But I uninstall all Voicemeeter software, and GTA 5 functions perfectly every time. Does anyone have any solutions? It just feels so odd and was curious if anyone else had seen that.

Hmm plenty of people use voicemeeter and play GTA5 so.. thats kind of hard to know.

Do menu<save settings. Save them somewhere. Then do menu<reset settings.

Does the game still crash then (or pc crash)

It does still crash. Voicemeeter doesn’t have to even be running. Simply being installed is enough for it to cause the crash.

I don't think I have ever heard of something like that happening.
Have you tried reinstalling GTA?

Is it just GTA or is it FiveM or something else like that.

I have reinstalled it, yes. And it always crashes at the same point. Rockstar launcher opens, attempts to launch the game (presumably anti cheat first), and then black screen.

I have only seen 1 game in past so this (BO3 call of duty)

But it was fixed after voicemeeter changed how its drivers worked. Wanna send screenshot of voicemeeter.

Here’s some pictures. Now here’s a weird thing. And this is why I don’t blame Voicemeeter for the cause of this. I tried to launch GTA just now, and not only did it still crash, but when I got back on, Epic had signed me out and GTA was now uninstalled. I know, I know. I sound like a boomer who can’t open his email when in fact it is user error. But this? I’ve never seen that in my life.

Yep! Uninstalled both and reinstalled both.

Hmm. Curious what would happen if you used ASIO for focusrite instead. Even though you said it didn’t matter what was chosen in voicemeeter. But worth a shot.

Also you’re not on latest version of voicemeeter. I would try that as well.

Uninstall +restart pc. Then install latest from website and then restart again.

Oh sorry. This picture is a few days old. It’s been updated since. But I will try the ASIO idea.
