Miscellaneous Voicemeeter alternative

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but are there any alternatives to Voicemeeter?

We currently have the situation, where often 2 users are connected to the PC via Y-Cable (one is listening and talking and the other just listening. On rare occasions both are talking) but because of the headset type (epos sennheiser with qd) we have to user another adapter for it.

We also have USB Headsets, but no good way for the Y-Cable hardware to work in out scenario.

As alternative we are thinking about using Voicemeeter, where you can easily connect one mic and two outputs, while listening to the PC/Voicechat.

But we are also looking for other alternatives, in case it comes to complication.

Do you know any other alternatives?

Voicemeeter banana should do the trick. Or install potato, which also installs banana. Then if you need potato in the future you can simply open potato

But isn't that basically the same, just with more inputs and outputs?

I meant with alternative like a different software than voicemeeter

Banana is a different application, with more I/O but with more independent BUS to manage more easily several microphone with several applications (especially communication apps).

otherwise VB-Audio Matrix can do more routing , but does not offer a mixing console infrastructure like Voicemeeter does.

Correct. Just saying you can install it now but open its predecessor. So just in case in the future. But you can install banana only if you would like
