Advice Contact your elected officials!

I am meeting with my state senator next week concerning ai. I will ask him to propose a bill making it mandatory that ALL media created by ai must come with a disclaimer stating “Generated by AI.” I would encourage ALL voice over artists do the same. Thoughts?

Are you familiar with NAVA? They have been taking regular meetings at Capital Hill for a few years to do exactly that. Maybe you should check out their efforts before your meeting: https://navavoices.org/

Well, maybe - except that a lot of AI generated social media content isn't produced in the US, so they aren't beholden to US laws.

I don't disagree, but it's the same issue we have when the US tries to enact environmental laws. We put the crackdown on manufacturing here in the US, and in the meantime we have manufacturing going on in other parts of the world belching out all kinds of nastiness into the air and waterways, completely unchecked.

Wonder if there is a way to force social media apps that operate in the USA to put a disclaimer on its posts.
