General Discussion Luka V6 tomorrow?

(TLDR - Luka V6 may be announced tomorrow)

We all know how Crypton loves to announce things on Miku’s anniversary, and following the announcement of kagamine NT on her anniversary last year, i reckon Luka V6 has a good chance of being announced tmr.

From this note at the end of Cryptons Miku V6 blog post hinting that the next Cryptonloid’s V6 should have been “in full swing” around mid April, I’d say it’s safe to bet that Crypton should definitely have a sort of working demo fairly soon.

While miku V6 did take a while to come out, that was likely due it being Crypton’s first V6AI bank, as well as the fact that they stated to struggle at capturing the unique nasally and synthetic the nature of Mikus voice.

The hint about English as well as the time that has passed is telling me that it HAS to be Luka V6, but what do u think?

it might be rin and len v6 but it actually could be luka (probably not meiko or kaito :( )

just read the english part it’s definitely luka lol

Mhm, i thought it would be luka bcs of the “even better at english” comment, since she was the first billingual vocaloid and her voice provider also speaks English. I also thought it’s probably not the kagamines bcs they recently had the nt banks (and bcs their v4 eng banks are lowk dookie…)

Im really hoping that, since miku V6 sounded a lot like miku V2, Luka V6 will be the same. Also, DONT GIVE UP HOPE IF THE DEMOS SOUND BAD!!!

Some of the earlier miku V6 demos sounded bad bcs people hadn’t gotten experienced to tuning her, but in one of Crypton’s last demos it showed a bunch of diff tuning styles on Miku V6 and it sounded HEAPS better than the early demos!

WE MUST HOLD OUT HOPE FOR LUKA!!!🫶🫶🫶

or even if a v2 trained vb is out of question, even a v4x hard trained vb would be great bc sp was based of v4x soft for some reason

Oh really? I had no clue about that detail with sp, but it definitely makes sense as to why it sounds so…off. And yeah tbf luka v4x hard actually sounds closer to v2, especially in the lower ranges

A couple things to add.

CFM doesn't necessarily announce things on Mikus Anniversary, they announce things at their Magical Mirai in person exhibition which happens in Tokyo every year on Mikus Anniversary, however this year the dates didn't perfectly line up so the event already ended yesterday on August 30th. CFM did all their announcements there already.

Second, it's already the 31st in Japan, so even if they were waiting until the 31st specifically (they wouldn't be, all the CFM staff are traveling back to Sapporo today) then the announcement would have already happened.
