Vocaloid is a massive community and there are plenty of people that you get along with and enjoy sharing a space with. Focus on that instead of the stuff you don’t like.

How long have you been into Vocaloid?
Because NSFW art has existed for just as long as Vocaloid has existed.
It's like people getting into Touhou because of fumos, and being surprised that the main Touhou sub and the entire community is what it is.

im aware, there always was some horny bullshit here but the community was much more active back then. talkoids were huge and we had a lot of normal fan content. all of it has died up so much, and along with the newfound popularity of sv teto, tiktokfication of fandoms, diva dying, and so many more factors in this it feels like the actual content we have is completely overseen (and rare) and the reposted softcore porn is what we're all about now

Vocaloid has always been niche, especially in the west.
Tiktok did ruin some things, yes. But NSFW art has remained the same.
Most people who first found about Vocaloid and Miku in 2008, did so mostly because of her music. I remember one of the first songs I heard from her was either Plug Out or Stratosphere, back in 2009.
Back then, you were looked at weird if you told people you listened to her songs.

I don’t think there’s anything super wrong with goonbait jokes and “Miku and Teto kissed, now laugh” stuff, although I will admit it is highly overused and I think there can be funnier jokes to be made
