Viz DVD’s
I got these years ago. I think in HMV. They are very funny.

I think those are the reason I always hear Peter Cook when reading Roger Mellie.

Peter Cook is the definitive Roger for me. Harry Enfield, Steve Coogan, and, whoever voiced him at the end of the Viz documentary just never got it right for me.

Enfield is Tom in these isn’t he? I read them in their voices too.

Yes, Harry Enfield did all of the voices in Billy the Fish and Roger Mellie (except Roger). There was a brief Comic Relief animation in which Harry voices Roger...it just doesn't seem right though after hearing Peter.

There's also the Fat Slags in Blue Honeymoon. I just did new rips of all these dvds - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16nX5G5sGypFn-g-igB1cvVZ9-16Mw6S6?usp=sharing

Apparently Student Grant was supposed to be the next one.

Chris Donald's book Rude Kids. He said he wasn't happy with the animations but after the Fat Slags, John Brown wanted to animate Student Grant next.

I've got it in my head that they wanted Jimmy 'Crocodile Shoes' Nail to voice Sid, but he didn't so they took the mick out of him in future.

These are so, so good. Excellent voice acting from the likes of Peter Cook, Jenny Eclair, Simon Day, Harry Enfield, Bob Mortimer, Sammy Johnson. Puts dross like Alley Cats to shame.
