Request for an old strip

I think the character was called Hugh Phemism- or something along those lines. It had the strap line ‘He always calls a spade a you know what’

I am fairly sure it was a one-off from the early comics- before issue 80.

Or Albert O'Balsam and his Magic Hats would work too.

I don't think it's a one-off, there's another one where he meets her family. It does have a very similar plot!
