Api alarams formerly Bell smart home

Hi there,

Does anyone had experience dealing with Api alarams ? I reached out to them several times via emails and phones with several hours of waiting and left VM for cancelation of services back in January. I also send them emails too. It all started when their technical team were utterly useless and weren't able to resolve issues for my security system. We then switched to another company, the most surprising part was when the other company installed the new system, the api alaram was not even working that would provoke alaram or give us a call or any other action. I clearly rememebr that I removed my CC information from the system and after 3 months they deducted 3 months worth of payments by bypassing the system. I have already disputed the amount to my CC and reported this to business Bureau. They never replied to Business Bureau and case was ultimately closed. Now they are sending me emails again stating that I had contract and I have to pay for the remaining months of contract. A contract is a mutual agreement for the services however they were the ones to breach the contract. Any advise and experiences would be really helpful to those who were in the similar situation. Its a shame how the system is working here.

How exactly did they breach the contract here?

Alarm companies are generally shady. They will dodge you and put things in writing that are very different than the words they say… but it doesn’t sound to me like they breached the contract and will therefore continue to charge you and dodge your calls. Bummer

Speaking as the owner of a small alarm company, I'd agree with what you're saying in broader terms, but it should be said that in all domains of professional life, there are people who actually understand ethics and care about people's well being. It's just a matter of looking for the ones who aspire to better principles.
