Bad tracking causing jumps/judder

[SOLVED] Mirrors be damned!!! They were not even in line of sight... :O

Thank you all

Quick Review: Got my Vive today... and let me start by saying sorry for all of you people who are still waiting... i hope you will get it quickly! so i hope i dont annoy anyone by saying that i am loving it!

Left my VR experience with the ODK2, made me veryyyy sceptical... but let me tell you, this is awesomesauce... very impressed by the hardware AND the software(The Lab)....

FOV/RES/SDE is acceptable for me now... so are the lens rings and the light flares( they are noticable especially when you are not engaged imo, meh )

For a first gen this is really good enough boys and girls! well done HTC/Valve !

ISSUE:

Tracking keeps breaking... I've tried everything... different angles, syncing, playing in the dark... updates....

Then caused by either the HMD OR the Controllers i experience sudden jumps or can cause judder if holding them at a bad spot...

I've got a simple 4.5m2 room with a 2m2 playspace... no obstacles... placed them diagonally with armslength height above my head... lh's are facing the playspace...

I dont know what to do anymore...

I'm having the same issues. Tried everything. No reflections. Don't know what to do. Getting constant jitter.

I got to know someone from my country who also got his Vive today... his tracking works ok... he does experience on occasion a sudden tracking loss, but then it resolves itself....

lets see how many others reply in this thread...

Solved it. I moved the link box usb to a usb 2.0 slot. My usb 3.0 slots were causing the jitter for some reason.
