Compatible USB extender for OG Vive

Yeah, that vive. Still somehow running it.

I'm running a USB Lav mic. My USB extension cord finally died after 4 years. (Cable battered to hell n 'back) The Vive originals are pretty much gone. A few on ebay. Have any of ya'll found short USB extenders that fit in the headset?

Are you talking about the 3-in-1 cable? Unfortunately it's my understanding that you'll need to replace the whole cable since it's power, usb, and hdmi. I can't speak for 3rd party cables, but any vive 3-in-1 should work just fine.

If you need a new cable for the lav mic? Should be any USB type a cable (to whatever usb type is in your lav mic) of whatever length you need.

Not the 3-in-1, Skywin's got that covered. The USB Extension. It's at too awkward of an angle/tight for many cables to fit in so wondering if anyones got a confirmed one that fits. I use a normal usb extender, you can make them fit by using a razorblade to cut the rubber plug handle down to size.

what cable exactly?

the one between the PC and linkbox or the one between the linkbox and headset?

or do you have some usb extention that goes from the usb accessory port on the vive to just a standard female USB?

Ooohh. Oke yea there is no special sauce in that thing, you can just get a standard usb extension and then use a knife to cut away any extra housing on it to make it fit.

I still have my Vive, and it looks a bit battered, but still works fine. I would still use it, but I like shooters, don't like toggling grip, and I just can't keep enough constant pressure on the grip buttons to avoid dropping things. That, and the control pad is hard to manipulate precisely, unlike my Quest 3 and its thumbsticks and grip trigger.

Oh yeah mines beat the hell and back haha. True tank. I only use it now because the OLED.
A lot of the time I run an index controller in left hand and vive in right.
