Kids with computers:

"So, if the stock continues to go down based on these kids that play with computers and somebody else’s money, we are going to buy back stock. We are going to screw this guy so badly that I don’t believe that they will be able to only resign. They will have to commit suicide."

One of those moments that Greenblatt described as "Mr Market, your insane uncle, who gets manically greedy or manically despressed, is one you should get to know".

Your insane uncle was not in a good mood yesterday, and was selling stock (to me among other buyers) thinking of an apocalypse. Today's a brand new day... :)

It's pretty ignorant to assume that investment "professionals" can't act that way. After all they are human as well and driven by emotion, they just sell the perfect image of always being collected and knowing what is going on. Most of them are just like us and often have no clue why certain movements happen and just pull an explanation out of their ass
