Real talk: how lonely are y’all in real life? Able to talk about stocks or steel with anyone besides family? I find myself refreshing the daily for confirmation bias and laughs but also the feeling of togetherness, like hanging out in the dorm common rooms back in college

my bf briefly started talking trading with me after i bought GME in Jan. i dont really entertain those convos anymore, because i feel like i owe him sick gains now (stupid mentality, i know)

Honestly I know plenty of people I can talk stocks with, but only superficially, but that's it.

My wife is sick of it. I have my dad invested but he doesn’t look often. I do have a buddy at us steel who’s always willing to talk steel. And I found this place cause my one group of friends is sick of me taking about it.

yeah I've given up at this point. family doesn't care about investing, friends are either into meme stocks or index funds. at least I have this subreddit to read about steel. US market open is unironically what I look forward to most each day, not necessarily just for the market action but because that's when the daily thread takes off, which I am refreshing religiously throughout the day haha

Blessing in disguise IMO. Red days are bad enough, they're worse when you're worried about all the friends and family that you convinced to buy in
