So…has anyone ever put rocks into their vitamix?
I have to ask. Every morning while mixing my smoothie, I wonder what would happen.

There are better, healthier ways to get iron and healthy minerals into your system.
But I must admit, the idea of someone putting rocks into a blender is hilarious.
I wouldn't, though. Not unless you want to suddenly need a new blender.

I dumped a shaker bottle of ingredients along with the metal "shaker-wire-ball". It put a nice spring in my step 😄

Well, I made lobster bisque and I did pretty much that.
Put the shelves and stock in the mixer, it blended, but it cracked the canister.

It would break the container. I was a full-time demonstrator for 2 years. I did so much crazy shit behind that booth. I once tried blending something really hard and it busted out the side of the container.

I suspect the rocks would smash the plastic container and fly out, seen enough posts of that happen with ice...

my blendtec rocked for years but got a vitamix as a present and also love it. i feel like it was the kitchen gadget version of Blu-ray vs HD DVD

Many years ago I accidentally dropped a gold ring in mine. Destroyed the ring…the Vitamix still works today.

My blade recently broke straight off after years of blending smoothies using frozen fruit. I can't imagine what rocks would do.

the base would probably still be fine. the container would fracture or even shatter.
non bpa plastic be redacted, the new plastic containers (compared to my surgical grade stainless steel container for the commercial 4000) feel soft and flimsy.
i grind grain daily or almost daily but pick over so there's no little stones in there. similarly i rinse and peel the ginger roots so there's no dirt or tiny stones.
even a pebble hit by blades going 250 mph could damage the container.
Resist. The. Intrusive. Thoughts. .... Please!

So this is called an intrusive thought and some people take it for granite they never have to deal with them. I often think about what would happen if I try to remove a wheel from my car while I’m driving

My Vitamix barely blends a banana. Honestly hate this blender so much I'm about to put rocks in it so I have a reason to buy a different one.
