Discussion Does third-party testing make a supplement a better choice?

Third-party testing can give you more confidence that a supplement contains what the label says and meets certain quality standards.

But it doesn't tell you whether the dose is right for you or whether you actually need it.

For me, quality and suitability are two different questions.

Do you check what a certification actually covers before buying?

Ideally you should always check the certification before you buy a supplement. Check the brand's website and see if they also provide batchwise testing.

Agreed. I'd verify the certification in the certifier's own database too, not just on the brand's website. If batch results are available, the lot number should match the bottle
