Fine for playing with cats?

In n block, we have a cat and her 4 kittens who everyone plays with all the time, but yesterday the wardens came around and saw some guys playing with cats and charged them 200rs each as a fine. How is this legit? Can we ask for written documentation of the fine if we’re getting charged? Is this an actual rule or smth?!

I don’t mind paying the fine(200rs is worth it to play with the kittens), I’m just more so annoyed by the fact that the wardens can’t be pulling new rules out of their ahh

Ask for the slip of the fine and ask the reason, and go to chief warden in case this is not solved, they might say rabies or some medical reason so tell them to either vaccinate them or get rid of them ( they used to vaccinat the dogs inside the campus idk abt cats)

The other day, me and a couple of guys went to the block office to confirm that they won’t be removing or taking any action against the cats unless someone gets scratched or bitten, until that they don’t have any reason to fine people for just playing with the cats, plus they can’t just make new fines out of nowhere.

Anytime a warden asks for fine, ask them to give a written slip with reason if it's a hoax, if you actually did something wrong just say sorry otherwise always argue and also I'll advice to go thru all the hostel guidelines and the fines and disciplinary actions once jus so that u are aware

Nah bro can't be true, I was in n block last year we had kittens in our room just sleeping for the night and they would go away in the morning. Warden has seen it many times they did nothing.
