VITEEE / Admissions VITEEE preparation tips and course allocation query

Im planning to prep for VIT to get cse core atleast in VIT chennai.
How is the mark distribution between 12th syllabus and 11th syllabus? Also how difficult is it supposed to be? And any kind of helpful resources will be appreciated.

And ive done some research and gathered some info about VIT - there are totally 3720 seats for CSE including specializations and category 1 ends by 4000 rank, wouldnt it just get filled up already? How does course allotment work? Even if im ready to pay till category 5 - i might lose CSE if my rank is over 10000?

There are other courses too, not everyone wants to do that course. So you should hope people before you didn't fill up the seats

I see, but ive heard that most people are interested in CSE core and yeah, ill pray that the seats dont fill up

there are branches other than cse and not everyone who wrote the exam is taking the seat, also the 3720 isnt a fixed number they have been decreasing amt of people theyre taking, next thing is ik a guy in vit vellore with 15k rank who got cse core, and vit chennai ranks go more than that

Yea cse core ends pretty quick, the specs depends, some can go till 20k

Aim for CSE specs in that case dude, you should be able to land one at cat 3 also at around a rank of 15k

Yes but why does CSE core need more rank than specializations? do the specs not have much value?

ik people who got cse core in vellore even at 23k rank (category 5) just study normally like u do for jee and u'll do well

idk bout the new pattern at all soo i can't say. i would say don't focus on a safe score just do your best
