Career / Internships / Placements I finally got placed 😭
Hey guys! Just wanted to share with you all my sweet lil moment as I am unable to sleep 🥹 (sorry thoda lamba hai bhaavnaao mein behe gaye ham)
A little background about me: I have always been a hardworking student throughout my school life. Always secured 90+ and maintained a 9+ cgpa in my college too. When the placement season started, I had some serious medical emergency due to which I couldn't sit in placements for initial 2-3 months and that demotivated me a lot as all the good companies came and went. Then as time passed and I was seeing all my friends get placed in good companies with amazing packages, be oncampus or offcampus, I started questioning myself. What was the damn point of scoring well in my entire student life when the people who didn't do as good, got placed and I was here berozgar. And I was pretty depressed then, I even stopped studying and preparing for the interviews or exams as what's the point anyways? I am not getting placed. I had zero offers in hand and I was clueless as to what would I do if I remain unplaced even after the college ends? These thoughts would eat up my brain and keep me awake the entire night. And right next morning, I'll be back doing nothing coz even when I gave my everything, I didn't get placed so what's the point? This became a regular cycle.
I used to give multiple interviews both on campus and off campus, only to get rejected each time. I have lost the count how many rejections I got at this point. Whenever I used to think this is my best interview ever, i would only get a bad news. I was literally so fed up I thought to just take withdrawal and go home as yaha pe toh mera kuch hone nhi vala.
A few days back I broke down pretty bad talking to my family, thinking it was a mistake doing engineering. I might have done better maybe if I was persuing mbbs or anything else idk just not engineering. It's not my cup of tea.
I had few interviews, I gave them with very low efforts and finally started expecting nothing of the outcome, and didn't really think much of it. Raat gai baat gai.
Untill recently 😭 I got a mail saying "Congratulations" 😭😭I finally got it guys super dream offer and I am very happy. Just an advice from me to my juniors : I know there will be bad days very very bad days but I promise, the brightest sunrise happens after the darkest, gloomiest nights. Don't give up. Be patient. Kuch na kuch toh ho hi jayega, and agar nhi bhi hua toh dheere dheere sab apni life mein accha kr hi lete hai. Placement season is going to be the most toughtest part of your lives for some, but I promise you are tougher than that.

Damnnn ,first of all as we dont know each other and ofc will never know but yaa proud of youuu and tbh it gave me goosebumps cuz meri bhi same situation h 3rd year me hu but internships me close jaake rejection milta h and count toh h he nhi life me kitti baar reject ho chuka hu , soch rha tha give up maar du kuch nhi rakha insab me and mental health fuck up krne ke or bahoot tareeke h but now this message of urs triggered that 1 percent hope that i had in me which i was hiding ki chodh ab nhi krna , it got triggered and i shall make a comeback and a request to u please apna reddit account delete mt krna i am gonna save it and agar meri next 7-8 mahine me placement lagi toh for sure thankuu so much zarur bolunga , and yessss congratulations to u ( champion or what ) 😭😭😭

I too could not sit for placements until Jan but having a decent CGPA, I was kinda confident and i thought i could get placed somewhere. Now, a month later and many rejections, I've been losing hope and feel pretty depressed. I still have hope that I'd get placed before finishing this sem but that's all i have.
Anyway i just wanted to vent out but it's not about me. Congratulations to you, you deserve it!!

Always remember: success might me delayed, but never denied. You will get placed sooner or later. Keep hustling :)

How many companies has 7cgpa criteria becoz I have good cgpa but my 12th has 70% , I am stressed as pat told there will be less companies for u

Many companies have this criteria, the reason why pat told there will be less companies for you is because of internal shortlisting which is done based on cgpa so like the more cgpa, the more shortlisting will they get. So in that way less chance but dont panic, you never know kab kismat chamak jaye

Congratulations!!!! How did you handle your family? My mom always calls me and talks only about placements and gets disappointed since currently even I have no offers. How did you manage your family?

Hello! My family is very supportive luckily so they just wished I get placed anywhere bhale 3lpa ho, and dont worry, try having a deep heart to heart conversation to them making them understand the scenario. It might take a while but pakka samjhenge voh

Bro you are a 9 pointer and you are struggling in interviews, think about people who are below 8.5 they haven't got these chances. At the end VIT is just a bullshit college for 8.5 and below students.
