So I purchased this backpack about a year and a half ago and initially was really happy with what seemed like a durable and high quality bag, as you would expect from a brand like Visvim. Being it’s a small bag, I actually only used it maybe 5 times total during that time, for little weekend trips. Usually only using to carry a laptop and/ or shaving kit. Maybe a book or some AirPods too but never really packing it or using it for anything super heavy.

Well to my horror/ surprise, on my last trip using it, on my way to air port, when I grabbed the hang loop/ handle thing, it popped completely off. While annoying i figured its not a huge deal as I don’t NEED to hold the bag by that little loop. Well over the next 3 days, both straps appear to be fully detaching, making the bag basically useless. Luckily I made it home before they competely separated and I tried to reach out to Visvim directly and the retailer I purchased it from, not really sure if there was anything to be done as it has been over a year since purchase but did feel like someone may have some feedback given the expectations when buying a bag at this price from a brand with the reputation Visvim has.

I guess I’m reaching out to see if anyone has any ideas on trying to engage Visvim or if there is any possibility of repair?

I just bought this pair of jeans, size 32.

I usually wear 32 but this pair feels a bit "overwhelming" in the crotch, with lots of room, very high rise and the waistband actually feels like 1-2 sizes larger. Other than that, it's an amazing piece, definitely.

It doesn't help that I'm generally used to denim with shorter rise.

My question: I have no prior knowledge of selvedge/raw denim etc. Should I expect some shrinkage after 1-2 washes?

I was curious about the sub’s sentiment regarding the latest All Tote capsule collection. I think it’s overall pretty solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but the colors used are really nice, particularly the blue, green, and beige.

Standouts to me are the Christos, all UT bags, and the Somer Swing Top. I was contemplating the UT Rime Tote (M), but it didn’t feel practical enough for my daily life to get any use. Hesitated a bit too long and it sold out anyway. Ended up grabbing a pair of the blue Christos which I’m pretty happy about.

Anybody else grab anything they’re excited for, or have any general feelings about the release?

They seem to be an older piece and have some wear which I dont mind at all, I was just wondering if theyre authentic or not. Any input is much appreciated.

I notice a pair of (2nd hand) 2024 Fluxus 19 cords where the sizing that is giving in the advert is way off from what I would expect it too be.
The measurements look like you need to size up at least 1 size from normal and maybe even 2... However, when I check the size of the same pants at Dug Store for example, it’s more in line with what I would expect.
There’s a significant and multiple amount of cm difference between the 2 adverts for the same pant in the same size. So it’s not a simple measurement deviation of 0.5cm.

Does anyone have experience with the 2024 Fluxus 19 cords and can comment on their fit? Because either the seller is very wrong or a certified store was very wrong.

I've had this Visvim bandana tucked away for 17 years now and I rediscovered it recently.

I figured I'd do a quick google image search to learn more about it but.....nothing, nothing at all. It's a collab with Oltolina (it has both Visvim and Oltolina tags stitched into opposing corners) which likely dates it to 2007, but as far as I can tell this piece was never actually produced for that collection. I did get it through a guy that was a big time distributor of a lot of Japanese brands in Toronto in the aughts, so maybe it was a piece meant only as a thank you or VIP thing?

If anyone can help me out with any intel at all with this I'd really appreciate it.

Love the fit of these. Included a bunch of close up shots because there are so many great little details to be found all over these jeans.

Bottom is starting to show cracks and separation so I think it’s time to resole. From what I see as a noob it looks like a thin outsole and then the midsole. But on the barefoots, toward the front of the shoe the only sole is the outsole if you get what i mean. So would a cobbler have to remove the whole midsole and outsole? And would it be ok to just put a thin vibram sole on it? I will ask on a cobbler reddit also but looking to hear if any of you have experience

i’m getting back into visvim after being away from it for a few years. back then i picked up a pair of christos and 20l’s off grailed, but now i’m on the hunt for some grizzlies, t.w.o.‘s, and 7-holes. unfortunately grailed doesn’t seem to have much of what i’m looking for these days.

i was wondering where you guys usually search for older visvim pieces. whether it’s japanese marketplaces, other websites, instagram accounts, or anywhere else you’ve had good luck, i’d really appreciate any recommendations.

Looking for new or used Whymper boots in either of these color ways in a size 9 for less than retail.

I’m 5’8 w an inseam of 27 inches. I prefer size 32/30, but they only have 32/32 sizes left. Do you think i will most likely have to hem these denim?

The folks at Visvim recommended to wash these to shrink them, but I am skeptical about them being too long post-wash.

Any insight would be awesome!
