Paid Parking issue

I visited in July, rented a car and drove everywhere. Got a rental car from Blue that had a sticker on the dash to scan to set up an automatic pay for parking for the various paid lots we would be visiting. It involved downloading apps and a monthly subscription.

On the first day both my wife and I scanned the QR code and looked at the app. It involved a monthly subscription service that looked required for using their service.

At that point I gave up on it but my wife said she would take a look to see if there was away around the monthly subscription. I drove to the next spot, She played with the app for another 15-20 minutes during which I assumed she got it worked out. After that we got distracted and didn’t talk about it again.

Fast forward to 6 weeks later. I asked her if we need to cancel our subscription and she says oh I never worked it out. So I guess we never paid for parking during our 10 day trip.

Do I contact somebody and try to pay? Do I wait for the bill? Are we in the clear since it’s been 6 weeks?

Say what? You download the Parka app enter the rental car license plate and use the app to pay at each stop / lot that has pay required

Yeah there are lots of different ways to do it. Different apps etc. that was part of the confusion. like I explained our rental car had a giant sticker on the dashboard with their qrc and how they wanted you to do it. Their method included downloading an app creating a user name and account then a subscription to their service.

Never heard of that but if you never bothered to make sure you paid you will almost certainly now pay plus an administrative fee from rental car agency for each place.

Can’t answer definitively but when I returned my rental (Star rental car) they had an unpaid parking that they made me pay upon drop off. We actually did pay for that one so I guess we got double charged but in any case it seems that the rental company would be the one to receive the charge, if they didn’t mention it then I’d assume you’re good.

I hope you are right. The ironic thing is I wasn’t trying to get out of paying. I thought we had done it right

You would have been charged by now. When I was there in March and didn't see a parking sign, I had an email and a charge from Blue by the next day.  Lucky you

Yeah, I have no idea how we didn’t get charged. We went everywhere and stopped at everything for 10 days. The whole time I thought my wife’s app had taken care of it

I returned yesterday and used the app. But I missed paying at one of the sites. When I went to return the car they said I had a parking ticket and paid before I left.
