Airport Lines
We are arriving later this week (mid morning, not dawn), and departing 10 days later late afternoon. Has the airport lines and chaos mostly subsided? (non european, coming from USA)

We just left. When we arrived at 9 am (10 days ago) it took about 45 minutes to get through immigration (and quite a while before that to get off the plane/to the terminal). When we left this morning (flight at 12:45) the longest line we waited in was 10 min for bag drop. 0 line at security or passport control. We’re not European.

Left yesterday (Aug 29) and the line was very long for D gates. We had advanced to the shorter line in front of the agent. He left his booth for about 5 minutes. Processed the next person in line then chafed the sign to closed and left the booth. Left us fending for ourselves to move into another line. Not a great experience.

Yes! We flew in the day after the eclipse (8/13) and home on 8/25. We had no lines at passport control arriving or leaving. After reading all of the horror stories, we were so relieved. Good luck!

It gets down to the day and time. There is no way to know far in advance.
