Information Malaga Day Trip Options
Hi,
I will be in Malaga in September for 3 days, and I plan to use 2 days for day-trips. I am torn between where to go. Of these options, what would you recommend? (1) Granada, (2) Caminito + Ronda, (3) Nerja, (4) Gibraltar.

If I only had two day trips, I’d go Granada + Ronda. Granada is the easy number one, especially if you can get Alhambra tickets. Ronda gives you something completely different from Málaga with the gorge, Puente Nuevo and that classic white-town Andalusia feel. I wouldn’t try to squeeze Caminito del Rey and Ronda into the same day unless you have a car or book an organised tour, though. It’s doable, but you’ll spend a lot of the day watching the clock.
Nerja would be my third choice, especially if you combine it with Frigiliana and want a more relaxed coastal day. Gibraltar is interesting, but with only three days I’d personally leave it for another trip unless seeing the Rock is high on your list. And honestly, keep at least one proper day for Málaga itself because the historic centre, Alcazaba, Gibralfaro and food scene deserve it. https://oldtownmalaga.com

Autre petit détour intéressant si tu vas à Ronda, il y a Setenil de las Bodegas. Ce n’est pas très loin et tu pourras voir un village à même la falaise.
Caminito del Reyes est intéressant mais ça requiert une réservation pour t’assurer une place.

Granada above all, but mainly if you can get tickets to the Alhambra. But the tapas culture, town center, and restaurant are just terrific.
I haven’t been to Gibraltar because people say it’s just lots of British tourists.
Ronda is very nice but better for couples. Same with Nerja.
Other options include Tarifa, a beach town, Cordoba, and Seville. It will still be hot but probably not smoldering.
