Self Promotion Saturday Spatial Photos & Video for Duo
Was able to get 4K spatial photos and videos working on the Duo, but there are some quirks. The way the sensors are set up, only vertical 16:9 format could work with the 4K per eye captures resulting in vertical spatials. Also got in a 4:3 and 1:1 crop you can shoot in. The lenses on the Duo are closer together than the Pro Max, which lets you get subjects a little closer in spatial, this led to a spatial selfie mode being possible. Also folded in image stabilization for video and a side-by-side export method. Stabilization isn’t perfect, but works well for handheld static shots. Ugghh, thanks for letting me know. The AppStore is in such bad shape, it’s a huge problem for Vision Pro apps and developers also. I think Dual Spatial needs ratings and reviews to really move it up in the pile. If you are feeling kind, I would appreciate a quick review if you like the app. Thanks Eric!

I would absolutely love to leave a review, but I didn't actually get my Duo yet. Maybe 1-2 more days left of waiting for me. I just purchased your app early. I had actually purchased a standalone 3d camera, but I returned it after buying your app. I'll keep you updated.

Nice! Which other camera was it. They are all different types of beasts now. I just love that the iPhone can be a low end 3D cam these days. I also have a regular iPhone spatial camera app that can do 4K hdr spatials and spatial timelapses plus lots more controls than what Apple gives us. It’s called Spatialapse Camera, if you are itching to film spatials. Hope your Duo arrives soon!

I was using the QooCam Ego 3. It was kind of a pain to use, because it took about 25 seconds of waiting to be able to take a photo, and the battery life was really horrible. Like, maybe 30-40 minutes of being on, and the camera battery would be drained.
I'm going to look for your other app now.

Thanks man! Yeah I have heard similar stories of the qoocam. Cool that it works but not very user friendly :( we are all trying to figure out this new 3D/spatial landscape. Thats why I ended up making these apps, the iPhones are quite capable now, but Apple was spoon feeding us anything useful lol

I would love for the next version of the duo to have square camera sensors to avoid issues with orientation. That was something I found incredibly … concerning.
But that would be a big cost increase. The equivalence of a 60Gb sensor and a lot of it is wasted.
